Needs a lot of improvement
Love this platform, dislike this app.
It feels like it’s a straight wrapper of the web app, but slower, laggier and crashes. Images take too long to load and sometimes they won’t load even with substantial internet connection. Using ShotDeck via the website is more efficient. Needs a lot of optimisation.

Nowhere to sign up
I downloaded this to investigate the app and the creative process, but it asked me to sign in, not sign up, so it’s useless to me, sorry.
iPad version crashes too much
I am using the iPad 10th generation 64 gig which is still sold currently by Apple. When I’m swiping through full sized photos the app entirely crashes, so I have to slowly swipe to the next image or risk it crashing and me losing all my progress. It’s quite disappointing since the less iPad-friendly web version doesn’t have that issue. Maybe the developers could reduce the hardware requirements for lower performance devices.

Frustrated by the app
I use ShotDeck on my laptop and find it very helpful. However, the app never works for me. The search engine never works and it makes the app somewhat useless. Very much looking forward to an update where this is fixed.

Just burned 2hrs saving images to a deck within the app and they’re….. not in the deck. The app is crashing repeatedly.
It’s just simply not stable.
Guys, I love the service. Have been subscribed for years now, but on location with an iPad and the app is not cutting it. It has a good framework/layout but there are several bugs that are really making the usability suffer. Please work out the kinks and give us an stable App version of your archive. It could be so good! 😫

Good but not worth the cost
While ShotDeck is probably one of the most comprehensive and easy to navigate shot libraries and I can appreciate that the subscription model isn’t the same as other predatory models that require you to put in your card and charge you without warning, the price for the actual subscription is absurd. After my free trial ended I considered paying for the full thing since I really liked the program and expected the price to be reasonable but was shocked to find out I either have to spend $100 a year for the yearly subscription or $13 a month for the monthly subscription, I have subscriptions to streaming services that are less than half of that price. While, yes, certain functions such as the search function or color palette are very useful I don’t see any worth in paying $13 a month for them when there are website where I can find high quality movie screencaps *for free*. The cost here is just plain disappointing.

Not Ready for Primetime
Has lots of potential, but it crashes frequently on iPad Pro and yields unpredictable search results. It’s effectively unusable in it’s current state but once the bugs are worked out I will be happy to try again.
Crashes constantly
App can barely stay open for a few minutes before crashing. Sometimes pages don’t load, or have errors. Searches with fairly common words don’t yield any results even if there are movies with the word in them. Not a great alternative to the webpage.
