I’ve been playing RPG’s since the 80s. Some of the interactions of the game of very tedious and even the. third battle just kills you. You need to grind monsters to gain levels to try and fight them again. After doing this, the next battle has the same thing. Impossible to beat unless you grind. this wants to funnel you into the pay cash app as there is no real strategy involved. I have no idea what the developer is thinking, but I would say stay away from this game unless you like mindless, grinding, and mindless combat. The combat might be better higher up in the game but killing off the players so early just leaves the bad taste in my mouth.
Edit: glad to see the developer is interested in feedback. Will come back and check out the game in the future.
Developer Response
Thank you for your review, but please don't try to spread falsehoods about Azmar Quest. The battle against the Vice is literally impossible to lose. In fact, when your health is low, you receive a potion to heal yourself.
The only battle I admit could be controversial is the one against the Boss, as you have very few skills, 2 or 3 at most, and the Boss is not weak. However, even here, defeating him should be easy even with just 1-2 skills. All players manage to do it. Maybe you could try playing in Novice difficulty before giving 2 stars, or if you’re an experienced RPG player like you say, you can reset your skills so you can get better ones, or buy a potion from the Shop.
Keep in mind that Items are essential against though Bosses in Veteran difficulty. Also, you should try to get a skill that consumes energy, and then it should be even easier.
Just a note: in-app purchases are completely optional, I hate pay-to-win games, and they don't give you any real advantage over enemies, so even spending money wouldn’t help you beat that Boss.
I understand that in games today everyone wants to win without even thinking, but I really didn’t expect this kind of comment from a veteran RPG player, especially considering many new players have had no issues and have never died during Chapter 1, which is how it should be.
I don't like being too critical with reviews because all of them provide important feedback, so I'm sorry if I seem too critical, but I swear I really don't understand how it's possible that you're losing against that Boss in Chapter 1.
Update: After some thought, I realized that Azmar Quest might be new even for experienced players. So, in the next update, I will add some in-game tips to help players beat the Chapter 1 Boss (along with 1 free item, such as a Life Potion, to help complete the introductory chapter of the game without dying)
