User Reviews: Azmar Quest (Old School RPG)

  • Mmmm Good

Having fun. Saw the replay value with the multiple classes and character building choices. When I hit level 10 I purchased the premium option because of the replay value. I am enjoying this game. Blind iOS user with voiceover.
  • Love this

Love story mode and the accessibility is amazing. Still need to try multi player, but the math on chapter 4 is wrong causing some failed situations
  • Has some potential but poor balance

I’ve been playing RPG’s since the 80s. Some of the interactions of the game of very tedious and even the. third battle just kills you. You need to grind monsters to gain levels to try and fight them again. After doing this, the next battle has the same thing. Impossible to beat unless you grind. this wants to funnel you into the pay cash app as there is no real strategy involved. I have no idea what the developer is thinking, but I would say stay away from this game unless you like mindless, grinding, and mindless combat. The combat might be better higher up in the game but killing off the players so early just leaves the bad taste in my mouth.

Edit: glad to see the developer is interested in feedback. Will come back and check out the game in the future.

Thank you for your review, but please don't try to spread falsehoods about Azmar Quest. The battle against the Vice is literally impossible to lose. In fact, when your health is low, you receive a potion to heal yourself. The only battle I admit could be controversial is the one against the Boss, as you have very few skills, 2 or 3 at most, and the Boss is not weak. However, even here, defeating him should be easy even with just 1-2 skills. All players manage to do it. Maybe you could try playing in Novice difficulty before giving 2 stars, or if you’re an experienced RPG player like you say, you can reset your skills so you can get better ones, or buy a potion from the Shop. Keep in mind that Items are essential against though Bosses in Veteran difficulty. Also, you should try to get a skill that consumes energy, and then it should be even easier. Just a note: in-app purchases are completely optional, I hate pay-to-win games, and they don't give you any real advantage over enemies, so even spending money wouldn’t help you beat that Boss. I understand that in games today everyone wants to win without even thinking, but I really didn’t expect this kind of comment from a veteran RPG player, especially considering many new players have had no issues and have never died during Chapter 1, which is how it should be. I don't like being too critical with reviews because all of them provide important feedback, so I'm sorry if I seem too critical, but I swear I really don't understand how it's possible that you're losing against that Boss in Chapter 1. Update: After some thought, I realized that Azmar Quest might be new even for experienced players. So, in the next update, I will add some in-game tips to help players beat the Chapter 1 Boss (along with 1 free item, such as a Life Potion, to help complete the introductory chapter of the game without dying)
  • Great game!

Actually, a fantastic game, with just the right kinds of aaspects wanted in an RPG. I have not fully explored everything, as I've only completed chapter 2. The addition of romance possibilities is interesting, if not my thing. However, the reason this isn't rated as highly isn't due to anything done wrong by the game itself. Just, spelling and grammar errors. Otherwise, if you're looking for a fun story, with some great humor, check this one out!

Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad you're enjoying the game. You're right about the spelling and grammar errors. Recently, I started reviewing all the texts. In fact, the next update will include many corrections of typos and grammatical mistakes, though it will take some time to review everything in the game. Luckily, some users on Discord are also helping me spot a few errors. I admit that writing most of the story and dialogues at 3 a.m. didn't help, but I'm slowly fixing everything :)
  • Interesting game

Only half-way thru it so far but the gameplay is simple but interesting. Voiceover accessible. The story in the game is comically stupid, which I’m calling a good thing.

  • Quick review

Haven’t finished playing it yet but at level 23 I must say this is well thought out game the nice interface. Overall, this is really good.
  • The majority of the game is great just one issue

I really like the game. There’s a lot of variety in game modes and in the story in different things you can do and puzzles my issue is near the end of the story when you have to do three on three battles for me they were very clunky and just took way too long. I had to fight. and push myself to go through some of them, but in the end, it just made me not finish the game. The three on three fights were a cool idea, but not executed well enough. in my opinion. But everything else was great and it is a fun game.

Thank you for the 4-star review! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed almost all aspects of the game, and I've noted your feedback on the 3v3 battles. If you're finding them a bit clunky or difficult, and you're playing on Veteran difficulty, you might consider switching to Novice to make them easier and quicker. Upgrading your team members can also help speed things up and make the battles easier. I understand that the 3v3 battles might not be everyone's cup of tea. They are just a mini-event within the game after all, and while most players enjoy them, I admit they're not as polished as the main battles. If you need any tips or strategies for these fights, feel free to join our Discord community to ask other players for advice! You can also help me improve them by sharing your thoughts in detail :) Anyway, thanks again for your support and for sharing your feedback!
  • Finally got it

The rpg i have been waiting for has arrived. Leveling system, pvp, co op, decision making that effects the story, and more that I have to discover. Loving the game. 5thumbs up

Thank you for the wonderful review! I'm simply trying to include everything I love about RPGs in my game, so I'm glad you're enjoying it.
  • This game is exactly what I’ve been looking for.

I don’t know what to say, this game is actually perfect. I’ve played adventure to fate for a while, and absolutely love it, but haven’t tendency to get horribly stuck in certain places and unable to progress further. Always wanted a game that had similar mechanics and strategy, but wouldn’t leave me constantly trying everything imaginable to get past a certain enemy. The fact that this game lets you choose to fight any enemy that you’ve ever faced before, and even some that you happened, to train your skills and abilities and gain XP is amazing. Grinding is fun now. The turn based combat is quite interesting, and the strategy is not hard to learn. I’m not sure if it’s a blind thing, but I often struggle with all of the intricacies of turn combat. This game makes it quite simple and easy to learn. I could honestly write an essay about how awesome this game is. Check it out, support accessible game development!!! also the dialogue, just, the dialogue…

Wow, thank you for your awesome review! I've heard about Adventure to Fate too, but I've never played it. Anyway, I'm glad you like the mechanics of Azmar Quest and the game overall! I hope to make Azmar Quest known to more players in the future, even though that's the challenging part.
