  • Breakthrough app

Hava has been a breakthrough for me. I feel confident that I'm on my way to my goal weight. I love that it focuses on the satiety score instead of calorie restriction. I'm much more inclined to manage the food I eat instead of restricting calories. It works for me.
  • Doesn’t live up to hype

While the satiety scoring is unique the rest is disappointing. The AI hyped for taking pictures of your food and getting the nutrients is rarely accurate, most of the recipes come from Diet Doctor, some don’t include calories or macros. My Fitness Pal premium is cheaper, more accurate, allows use of barcodes, pictures, and you can create and save your own recipes…can’t do that in HAVA.

We'd argue our AI photo tracking is already far beyond the capabilities of MFP. That said, it will keep improving rapidly. Other functionality such as creating and saving recipes are coming up. We hope to impress you if you return later this year.
  • Satiety Scoring Works for Me!

I’ve eaten keto flex successfully for over 10 years & at age 64 started having trouble maintaining my weight. Hava fixed that & I’m back in control again. Big Food makes it tough to stay on track & Hava wants to help. The satiety AI they use works for me. I just aim for over 100grams of protein and a total day satiety score of over 50. As you try out your food choices in the app you learn as you go. And the app is diet agnostic so you don’t have to follow a specific way of eating. The photo upload makes it easier & they are adding new features to make it even simpler. Eating healthy in this world is not as intuitive as you would think & I’m happy I’ve found Hava. Give it a try and see what you might be able to lose ;)

  • A Better Approach

I finally found a way to eat healthy that is helping me to make better food choices and feel more satisfied in the process. As someone who struggles with an all or nothing mentality this new approach has changed how I view food. Reaching for a higher score and always having a way to do better even on the worst days on my Hava app is giving me the encouragement and confidence to be more consistent and make the steady change I’m looking for when it comes to my relationship with food. Thanks Hava!

  • Not accurate

I wanted to like this app and I even went ahead and paid for three months from the start. It is not accurate. I take the picture of chicken breast and it says 8 ounces and then I weight the same food on an electronic scale and it’s 5 ounces. That’s way off. Also, sometimes it mistakes the type of meat, the ingredients etc. I feel kind of cheated because the subscription is not cheap and the service is not good. This feels like the app still has a long way to go but they are charging a premium for the subpar service

Hi Gustavo! For very exact weights you'll always have to put every single food & ingredient you eat on a scale. However, this is something very few people want to do in the long therm. Our AI photo tracking can not fairly be compared to using a scale. Since it's a visual estimation it should be compared to human visual estimations (how most people actually track foods day to day). For visual estimations it is usually as good as an average human, sometimes better, and it will keep improving fast. Likely it will soon be as good or better than any human expert at visual estimations. We keep improving it. In the meantime, it's pretty fast to update anything that you can estimate better, e.g. update a weight, or remove a food and add another one. Even if the AI photo tracking is not perfect and needs some tweaking, it usually saves a whole lot of time vs. starting from scratch. As far as we know, our AI photo tracking is currently the best available in the world at rapid visual estimations of ingredients. We know of no better app today for this. Therefore, a 1-star review seems harsh. Nonetheless, if it's not what you were expected, please contact support@hava.co and we will give you a refund. We want all our customers to be happy.
  • Excellent!

How much actual nutrition per calorie in what we eat?
HAVA uses SPC (satiety per calorie) to track this. Everything you eat gets a satiety score, which let’s you see your nutrition/calorie ratio is in check.
The easy-to-use AI photo analyzer is also very useful to quickly recognize, analyze and quantify any meal.
All in all, a much more balanced approach than simply counting calories or dramatically reducing /increasing specific macros.

  • Strategy for Food Choices You Like to Get Results!

Hava is basically a strategy you apply to food you like to improve the satiety of your meals to drive results! You can start with what you are currently eating, and/or you can use recipes (with pics!) and ask the chat bot in the App for guidance or food ideas. The best feature: snap food pics & upload!! I love this feature, especially when eating out! Just snap a pic & upload it to get your satiety score, which you use to guide your food selections as your day progresses achieve an overall score for the day in range of your target satiety score. You can also either edit the upload or just enter the food directly with the search menu feature. This Hava App has been a great addition and companion to my diet (the P:E Diet by Dr Ted Naiman), which like the Hava App is based on strategy rather than eating particular foods. I broke free from morbid obesity down to a normal weight during the pandemic in my mid 50s! And now I have this cool Hava App which has been a fantastic companion, helping me maintain this radical weight loss, which as we all know maintaining is the hardest part. I highly recommend this App!

  • Where has photo tracking been all my life?

This has ruined me for all other macro tracking apps. I really can’t go back to manual entry. ☺︎
  • Satiety is key to success

Hava Eat is a game-changer! The app’s photo tracking feature and satiety scores simplify healthy eating, helping you feel full and satisfied with every meal. This innovative approach will transform how you approach “diet,” helping you make it a healthy lifestyle that sticks!
  • This is the future but it’s not here yet….

Great concept, and satiety really seems like the best way to diet. Beautiful interface. However, it needs a barcode scanner and a way to create recipes of commonly eaten foods/meals.

A few simple steps away from perhaps being the best diet tracker, but hard to use in its current form.

Thank you! The improvements you're asking for (or better) are planned for later this year. We do have 1,000+ satiety-ranked recipes now.
