A Huge Step For Connecting Artists
This app, from at least personal experience, has always been very kind and supportive, the moderation have been great, and the fact that it goes against AI art is astounding and fantastic. For a BETA app, it’s honestly well developed and I’m hoping to see what the final release will look like. If there’s anything I would want from this app, is just adding videos instead of just gifs, so then animation and such would have audio, but I know that some people may abuse this power, so it may be hard to monitor.
Either way, Cara is an artist-friendly app that who has one of the best communities around. And if you ever wanted to share your art on there, you’ll definitely get recommended by others and perhaps get to see full time professionals at their work! Keep on working hard to make the app the best it could be!Negative reviews are irrelevant
Cara is a great platform for not just your stereotypical artists but for anyone who creates! I love how Anti-AI this platform is because it makes me not just feel, but know, that my work is safer posted on here than on other popular apps. It’s also really inspiring to see all the art posted on here! It’s very easy to get around, and I love seeing it grow day by day since more people are moving to Cara. The implemented Glaze feature is really exciting to see. As i’m typing it’s not available, but just the knowledge that the team is working on it is super encouraging.
The negative reviews all say the same thing: that it’s slow or there’s some details missing. What they forget is that this isn’t your typical app like Instagram or Twitter where there’s a huge corporation and mass amount of support behind the app and their team. This app is made BY artists, FOR artists! This is more authentic than a lot of apps you have. And its improving every single day! I hope Cara will grow even bigger and one day surpass a lot of other social media because we need to be reminded that real art is made by humans and not by computers. I’m also very proud of the creator since she is actively working against AI and has been in a lawsuit and won over it. If any of the team is reading this, you’re amazing and your hard work is very appreciated🩷Great app focused on human artists
At a time when generative AI content is drowning out human creators on every platform, is nice to have an platform dedicated to human artists. In its present state, genAI images would not exist if not trained on the theft of intellectual property from human artists and photographers. Cara does not allow artificial imagery on its platform and provides tools to help human artists protect their work. Amazing!
While the site has had some growing pains due to the mass influx of artists, it’s being very actively developed and updated. Many of us are tired of platforms that manipulate algorithms and train generative AI on our work without consent. Cara has been a breath of fresh air for the art community and it will only continue to improve. I’m happy to have found a home here.
