Still no iPad app
(1) Still no iPad app. Are they going to stay as deaf to this need as Instagram/Threads are? (2) It is nearly impossible to move from another person's profile page back to the timeline I was in because one needs to use a back arrow that is nearly impossible to see against the background of most users' profile images. (3) When I start the app, it often wants to fill the full width of the screen while sticking to the iPhone version of the vertical space. I have to quit and restart the app to make it work. (4) The web experience is better, but I would prefer an app on my iPad, which is what I tend to use for social media. Apps make it easier to interact with other apps on iPad OS. (5) Why is there no two-factor authentication of some kind for the web app?Show lessInternet before influencers and ads
The lack of algorithm is scary for a lot of people who have spent years on a monetized web and they are understandably struggling with this newer app. Its great, the team is adding features regularly so its getting better daily.
Your experience is up to you! You wonβt be spoonfed a feed. You need to surf it and take control on what content you get by searching for your favorite topics and finding people and conversations to engage in.
Itβs fun and fresh - good luck!Show lessVery promising social media app
Most apps show you what THEY want you to see. Not this one. This allows you to reject algorithms and make your own. There's even a feature to mass-mute (or block) entire categories of accounts that you don't want to see posts from. If you use it right, you're only going to see what YOU want to see.
Overall, probably the best user experience I've seen from any social media app, because it actually prioritizes it. I don't normally write reviews, but after many frustrations with Meta and Twitter (even pre-Musk, mind you), I want to be part of the change I want to see.
Regarding the censorship allegations, I have never once seen or heard of any censorship, folks just seem to assume that any Twitter competitor is anti-free speech. Also Jack Dorsey isn't, and hasn't been involved for a long time now, lolShow less
