Tutorial

It gives the “option” to skip the tutorial but still makes you go through the effin tutorial. I promise if someone downloads this extremely old but modernized game it’s cuz we ALREADY KNOW HOW TO PLAY IT!!!

Unplayable on modern iPads

Many people have keyboard cases with their iPads, which only lends itself to the landscape position. Unfortunately I couldn’t play this game because it’s only available in portrait mode. Many games are having this faulty issue. Shame as I would have enjoyed this nostalgic game.

Just how it can be not possible to pop all surrounding tiles, when you press on a number, when you're in "flag" mode...

Fun game

Good play. Loving it.

Wish I could add question marks to tiles like in the old windows version.

Knocking a star down because since adding Indonesia I can’t make the pop up telling me about the new region vanish. Tells me every time I launch the app. Even tho I’ve completed most of this new region already.

Nice update to a classic

Loved playing this on PC growing up. This has a welcome twist with nice graphics. It could never replace the fast pace clicking of the mouse, which was great because you learned quickly what each mouse button did. I think the closest way this game can mimic that is replace the mine/flag switch with a toggle button. A big flag button in the bottom left corner, and if you hold it down while tapping with other finger. If it’s released then it selects the square. That would make this a 5 star game for sure.

Fun but awful controls

There’s been a standard set of controls for minesweeper for more than a decade. This app doesn’t have a way to use those controls. Pass.

Final flag

Sometimes the flag button stops working when placing the final flag on the map.

The best minesweeper ever

As someone who grew up in the 90s, I have dozens of hours of minesweeper under my belt. This version feels like the perfect modern version of scratching that itch as a teenager

Enjoying it

I used to play this all the time on windows.

I’d say the increase in difficulty needs looking at. I expected each level/area to get harder with maybe 3s, 4s, 5s and 6s but it all seems to be 1s and 2s.

I’ve only seen the daily tasks have 3s 4s +.

One annoying thing is the sensitivity of when it detects a long press vs a normal press. I’ve had multiple times where I’ve thought I’ve long pressed but then a mine explodes. Which is really annoying when you’re 80% through a map. Maybe have an option to reverse the actions there long press to reveal a mine and normal press to leave a flag.
