Two improvements needed

Overall, the best modern, mobile implementation of minesweeper I’ve seen. I can only suggest two improvements. The first one is critical.

1. If I lose a game, I want some time to see where I went wrong. The game I lost disappears immediately. I want a way to view a lost game at my own pace. As it stands it’s very frustrating. I blow up and think “What? I didn’t make a mistake there!” and then the map goes away before I can see where I went wrong. Makes it feel like the game is miscalculating or just killing me sometimes. I assume that’s not the case, but let me observe where I went wrong and accept it before it goes away forever.

2. A minor improvement: you’ve done a great job at some quick ways to navigate and mark mines such as clearing fields if you click a number that is adjacent to that many marked flags. The game needs a similar speed up for marking flags. For example, if a 2 only has two adjacent fields unrevealed, clicking the 2 should put flags on both.

Tiny bug

You practically can’t lose if you flag and click an open tile number. In the regular minesweeper if you flag a wrong bomb and click a “1” next to the flag it will auto open other tiles even if the tiles have bombs and make you lose. For this game I can guess and flag a wrong bomb, but when I click a “1” next to the flag, it won’t open the tiles.

Great game but slow for experts

Its built well but as a good player the animation (eg stamps) in between rounds takes longer than the game it self. Also no way to skip easy levels until it gets hard enough to be enjoyable.

Fun, a bug, interesting choices for locals

I played minesweeper when I was a kid and it’s nice to play a modern take on it. I do notice a bug where you can’t plant a flag using a long press in reveal mode. I have to quit the app in the app switcher and open it again to have it work. The choice of locals are sort of strange. Why am I sweeping mines in the Pacific sea? Easter Island, Hawaii, Japan? Why not Miami, LA, or the UK? It’s slightly unsettling to think why the developers choose those locations and takes me out of fully enjoying the game.

Switching between flag is infuriating

Love minesweeper. Have loved it for years. If you also like minesweeper, this version is garbage. Don’t bother. After the 10th time of thinking I turned the flag only to blow a mine because I didn’t swipe the dang toggle correctly, I gave up. There are literally dozens of minesweeper apps that solved this problem over a decade ago, how is these developers so unaware?

I identify all 7 mines and have only one square left.
If I select that last square & inevitably- it’s a mine

Great game.

I had a problem with the game not opening on my iPad at first, but the problem has been fixed. The game is not ser up on a square, as most Minecraft games are. The grids are different sizes and shapes. The Microsoft version got boring for me. I really forward to playing this game. Beautiful graphics and fun to play.
