I enrolled in the autopay back in October of 2023. My payment had yet to be in auto pay. This has caused miss payments and massive frustrations.
Partial payments
No way to post partial payments towards your full payment for the cycles. Only allows to post additional principal and additional escrow if you wish to pay ahead.
The staff has to be emailed how to post payments and it takes a few days to post.

Late payment
Last month I paid the payment on this new website, the payment was made and then after the due date it was declined. I am now being charged a late payment because of this. I am not sure why it was declined because the money was in the account! I called and left a voicemail and I havenโt received a response. I always make my payments on time.

So much better than the third party portal. Love this. Super easy to use.

Not Payment User Friendly
When they switched over to this app, it knocked me off of my auto pay and I wasnโt notified. I noticed from my bank statement and went in to pay, but the app wasnโt working and wouldnโt let me update my payment info. I attempted to call to find out what was going on but could not reach anyone once I FINALLY found a number. By the end of the month, the app finally let me update my bank info and I went in and found that I was charged a late fee. I did not want the fee to start accruing interest, so I was going to pay int an have it removed once I got ahold of someone. Though there was a box for me to check to pay it, I couldnโt check the box to pay it! I also pay more on my mortgage than the set amount and I could not change the amount. I could pay double if I wanted, but I donโt pay that much more. This app is trash and needs revamping. Just like the website, it is not user friendly.

Terrible Institution process of the app
We received a notice that Weststar had an app but I didnโt think much about it because I had an account set up on the website and for the last three years and six months all of
my mortgage payments had been made through the e-express automatic online bill paying service. Weststar did not use this service for our October payment nor was I notified that it would not be used. We received a letter saying our October payment had not been received and as I was looking into this and signing into my online account, I got a message that said I no longer had an account. I am very upset because the poor communication on the part of Weststar caused my payment to be late. We have had NO late payments on our credit history for well over 6-8 years or even longer. Bad, bad business.

Easy to use app. You can always add a payment towards additional principal anytime. Very easy to schedule a payment. This app is extremely user-friendly. I am glad they changed to it.
