Checked my car compatibility first in TopDon website and found listed - bought the TopScan device from Amazon. Before opening my devi up I downloaded this app (TopGuru) and when looking up my car in the TopGuru app it was not shown - wouldn’t lookup in the database - will return the device to Amazon

Not bad, but not the best I’ve used on iOS
Not a bad scantool. Does everything it says it does. So I can’t be mad.
If i had to complain, it would be that the tool has zero transmission adaptations. If they atleast added support for this feature, I’d be willing to call it the best out for iOS.
Also, no online coding/programming. This scantool has a close cousin out there and that tool has these features but the iOS version is a little broken so overall the TopGuru is a more stable option for us iOS users.
Also, if you want the TopScan Pro, buy it directly from Topdon. I have never seen it for sale anywhere else and the price is right!

Excellent portable scanner
Reads all the cars modules all makes. Has some trouble with older vehicles but can’t complain for the price.

When I try to scan, the menu is in blank, doesn’t show any buttons and doesn’t do nothing.

Had initial issues registering an account for the app, but after leaving it for a while it worked.

Topscan
This is a very capable and useful tool. I hav used it several times and was impressed by the amount of things it can do. Bidirectional control complete system pre and post scan included. Now it’s not perfect has some glitches and sometimes all the functions don’t work on a particular application but they do updates often and I think they really try to make it better all the time. I think it’s a great option for the home diy to a professional tech, the dongle nice but I recommend you find a lanyard or something to put on it it’s easy to forget. Great option for the price
