Unique Merge Defense
This game is very fun, challenging and quite addicting. The ads are not intrusive and are only required for various bonuses. I recommend this to anyone who likes to strategize. I’ve always seen ads for merge games and tower defense games, but they never looked that great. The style is cute and cartoony, but not overly saturated or over-stimulating. It’s pleasant to look at and it feels like the creators took care and effort into the design. The gameplay is interesting. You have a grid of various objects to move around to do several things: merge eggs of the same type to evolve into a stronger unit, merge keys to have see 3 upgrade options, strategically place units. You have a certain amount of moves until the round begins. Waves of enemies storm your tower and you will see if you spent your moves wisely as your units will automatically attack enemies. As you defeat enemies, a gauge fills which when full, will give you 3 upgrade options to choose from. I like browsing the App Store and trying anything that looks fun; and I will check out what other work the developer has done. That’s how I found Egg Monster. I have already written more than intended! If anything, I hope the developers continue to work on this because I love it; as of yet not finding much to wish for differently.

Lost a star due to beating a level, only to have “failed to send data to server, retry” message.. I closed the app and reopened, given the message “game in progress, continue?” When I continued the boss came down a different lane than before and was unable to defeat it in time. Very frustrating as I have been stuck on this level for awhile.

Really
I left you two stars bc the game is actually super fun but the bugs are horrendous. I could barely make it through the tutorial without getting booted bc network connection ? Meanwhile I’m watching Netflix and letting my tablet auto farm ( all online services which wouldn’t work if I had network issues ). Finally I get to the Home Screen it prompts me to click start to continue playing … the button presses , it deducts the needed energy from the energy system but I go no where. Then I get a pop up saying refil your energy … what do you mean I haven’t even been let in to play a level lol. I’ll check back later bc it really was fun.
