I live in SW Louisiana, some 18 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. That means there’s literally hundreds of miles of shoreline and estuaries to fish in. The problem is that all these choices make it extremely difficult to form a game plan and catch fish. Tidal movement, wind direction, and a lot of other factors can make “go to spots” into “zero spots”. With Smart Spots, we always have a game plan! It has prompted us to spots I’ve never fished, and made our fishing a lot more fun, and productive. We never go fishing without our Smart Spots game plan. It’s like having a professional guide on board. If one spot isn’t producing, we pick up and confidently go to the next one. We always catch fish; even if we have a short window to go fishing.
With all the features of the app my fishing success has changed dramatically. It has just about everything u need to determine where and when to catch fish. It’s also user friendly and easy to learn. Just the smart spots alone is worth having the app. But I recommend learning all its features. For instance use the 1’ contour feature. I can pinpoint deeper water near structures. Then take the coordinates from it and transfer to my GPS and bam! My game plan is ready. Then tides, current etc tells me when I should be fishing. It’s almost cheating. I now know when to go and where. Obviously it’s not 100%. And the rest is up to you on bait, lure, and presentation. But then the saltstrong website tells you how to do that in just about any instance. With videos or fishing reports. All the info is there. Get the app. Learn it. And go catch fish. Period.
This is a awesome fishing app. I was using several fishing apps to get my fishing information for each fishing trip and after using the Smart Fishing Spot app this is the only app I use now. The app is incredible by providing all the information in all in one real time app. If you join Salt Strong becoming a member you’ll be overwhelmed with all the club offers including this app as part of the member only club. I highly recommend joining. I was so amazed I became a Salt Strong Lifer member. I rarely give any recommendations and reviews, but this app took it a step ahead of all the other apps and it continue to be improve by the Salt Strong team.

Daily fishing forecast “Strike Score”, moon and tides, solunar feeding windows, maps, underwater topography, locations of oysters/seagrass/reefs and public land to fish from shore, boat ramps and kayak launch spots, routes and waypoints, weather and radar, member catch reports, and much more.
New features are added regularly (for free) and the devs keeps the app updated and clean up any bugs quickly.
Get this app. Better yet, join Salt Strong, because this app is just a part of what they offer, and it’s all good stuff.
Bonus - the brothers who run SS are good guys, and interact regularly with the members.
I joined the SaltStrong club and gained access to the app about three years ago now. It changed and accelerated my journey in how to catch fish in the inshore fisheries of Texas. Now that I have some good experience under my belt, this app is my go to tool for every trip I plan to go on the water. I use it to find where the potential hot spots might be and also find my own locations based on the information in the app. I will also add that the team is constantly adding updates and features that make the app more useful and productive.
There is room to grow and there are some minor features that are underdevelopment or need some improvement, but every release it gets better.
If you are serious about your inshore fishing, this app is a no-brainer and if you really want to up your fishing game, go all in with the app and the club membership.
This app is utterly the best thing that’s happened to fishing. It’s an industry game changer and to be available at the tip of your fingers is absolutely incredible. The ability to see multiple forms of structure, 1-foot contour lines, and public fishing zones to name a few is worth it alone, but to have tides and high- resolution maps… it’s off the charts (pun intended). It also has a weather radar feature, which not only helps with pre-trip planning, but makes it extremely practical for daily use anywhere. It’s an all-in-one resource right in your pocket and its capabilities continue to evolve and makes things easier for me as an avid angler. If you love to fish, you need this app in your life!

It doesn’t get any easier. This app answers every question an angler has before going out. It eliminates the need to toggle between ten or more apps or sites to find weather, tides, currents, maps, water depths and contours, sea grass, oyster beds, boat ramps, kayak launches, public lands, etc. So many great features to aid in catching fish including one you can’t find anywhere else: Smart Spots! I’m not sure how they designed that one, but it will put you on the bite! It must be that secret insider community only sauce! I’m glad I found Salt Strong and joined. (Haven’t had to settle for catfish since…lol…and I’m still new to saltwater fishing) It’s referred to as the Salt Strong family, and I believe it. The insider members are great. Everyone in the community shares their knowledge and expertise along with their fishing experience with all the members. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I joined Salt Strong almost a year ago and I am using this app Every Single time I head out to get a line wet. The detail that they have put into this has Blown me away. I’ve got all of my family literally hooked on it. It has everything I need under one app and has opened my eyes to look for areas that I would have never fished before. From 1’ contour lines to weather, tides, wind, etc. I can say without a doubt that it’s been a game changer for me. Thanks for offering such an amazing app as well as such a complete fishing club and training system that actually works.

I’ve had about a month now to use the SFS app. It’s by far the best tool I’ve come across. The ability to have multiple satellite views (google maps, Hi Res, Bing) with the additional layers for 1ft bottom contour, shaded relief, marine chart, weather radar tide stations (forecasted multiple weeks out) sea grass and oyster bed overlays among others all in one app is game changer for planning trips. If that wasn’t enough, they provide tools such as waypoints, routes and launch spots for additional planning and use in then water. There’s actually more than what I’ve mentioned as well. They are consistently updating the app and the support has been outstanding. I can’t give this app enough stars.
