I have been using the app for a year. Before the app I would go where it looked like there should be fish. That really did not work. Once I learned about the app and how to use it, things changed. I had a clear understanding of the patterns of area’s most likely to have fish. Plus becoming a member not only gives you this app but so much incredible teaching from a great group of coaches. No matter what level you are at in your fishing you will grow. They stand by their commitments. Take that step and join. You have nothing to loose but everything to gain. One more thing………it is so much fun being a part of this.
Everything that you used to scroll through multiple apps to find out all in one place! And they keep making it better! Not just “bug” fixes but with actual improvements on an already great app! Tides, moon phases, weather overlay, strike score, gps tracking, 1ft contours, ALL of your various structures and bottom types, multiple map options, with actual great spots for fishing the current real time conditions! Not to mention you can connect to a community of fishermen and learn from each other! This app is on Fire!
GPS Chartplotters, and fishfinders are just a few tools every angler needs, just as much as rods, reels and lures. If you want to step it up a notch… or way more than a notch you got to have Salt Strong’s “Smart Fishing Spots”. GPS… it’s there you can set routes and mark your secret spots or where your fishing plan. Charts with 1 foot contours, navigation charts, awesome. Oyster beds outlined, seagrass, relief or as some might call bathymetric maps, high resolution satellite maps. Tide charts for any location, weather and wind forecasts, real time weather radar, the best areas to fish with real time forecasts. Did I say it also shows launch ramps, parks and access sites for kayakers and wade fishermen/ladies. It shows artificial reef locations, and more. All in one place I bet I missed something. I use it for tides in the area I fish, weather, wind and weather radar, satellite maps, oyster beds and seagrass for the area I want to fish, all this to make my plan for fishing. It has made a huge difference, plus if I need to change my plan I have all the tools I need. It is an awesome must have tool.
Once upon a time, there was a young lad who was dreadful at fishing. He wanted to be great but no matter how hard he tried he could never seem to do any good. He was always followed by his friends dead spot Dan and his brother many lures Larry. One day he came across two new brothers wise for their years, they shared a funny last name, it sounded like diamonds. The brother took this young lad under their wing. They taught him how to tie knots and how to find the feeding fish. Curiously they seem to only need one lure, a white paddle tail by the name of SLAM SHADY. With their trust 4” rigged on a helix anything was possible. As this duo imparted fishing knowledge the lad noticed his old chums Dan and Larry seem to not come around as often. He even saw less of his girlfriend catfish Caitlyn. The young lad grew into a strapping man who is now teaching younger lads walking the same journey with Dan and Larry and Caitlyn how to catch fish and not get skunked, this lad always points the protégé back the the masters of the art Joe and Luke Simon’s. This is an excellent tool to put anglers in position to catch more fish in less time. I use this application for the weather and wind forecasts to help me game plan and decide to go out to fish or not to go out. I use it to strategically break down fishing spots I plan to fish in an attempt to cover water and catch more fish. This app has everything one needs to have a quality outing to catch fish. From the depth contours, weather conditions, quality overhead map views , tide charts and smart zones this will definitely improve your fishing game when all the information is applied properly. It has been very rare that I go out and get skunked mainly because the smart zones indication which identifies spots where fish could be at any given time has helped me defeat the skunk. If you use this application properly I can almost ensure your time on the water will be highly productive. This app is available to members of Salt Strong fishing community! If you are serious about catching more fish, stop wasting time and look into joining the family and get all the perks this membership provides!
This app is full of so much helpful information and very detailed info on how to learn to fish or how to improve your fishing. I having been learning from it just for a week or so and decided to go try a fishing area I have never tried that they had as one of their Smart Spots. And I caught a red fish at that spot. It was a place I would probably never had attempted to go to without using their app. I am looking forward to go out and trying more and more of their spots and their fishing techniques that I am learning. Also nice the great reports that they put out seems like weekly. Way to go SALT STRONG! I appreciate all y’all are doing🤗
Since moving to Florida, salt Strong, as an organization has been integral adapting my transition from freshwater to saltwater fishing. The introduction of the smart fishing app completely changed the game!
As a former freshwater captain, I used wind, current baitfish patterns, feeding habits, and a number of other factors to determine the highest percentage strategy on a given day. This app has taken all of the guesswork out of that process. The app has tidal flow, wind structure, and a built-in predictor on where the highest probability locations are. it’s difficult as it is to admit, most of my fishing success in saltwater is a direct result of this technology. Not more highly recommend any single tool.
First off I’d like to say thank you for making this app. I am a retired Navy veteran and I just moved back to Florida after 24 years elsewhere. I wish Florida when I was growing up till I was 17 and moved away and coming back a lot has changed so this app to help me get pointed back in the right direction and start learning my fishing holes and areas and what to look for and properly has been instrumental in me finding more fish and being able to enjoy what I love and fish on the water and give my sense of relaxation.
Since moving down to the coast only a couple years ago and new to saltwater fishing, I don’t know what I would do without this app.
If you are new to an area or even new to fishing this app helps you know where the fish are. But wait there is more, it gives you amazing information like boat ramps, kayak launch spots, grass flats, oyster beds, public land to fish from. Just as think this can’t get any better they come out with an update that makes it even more amazing! I have been fishing the Texas coast on and off my entire life. Prior to this year had bought and sold 2 boats with the cycles of life. Have 4 kids and at times was a struggle to find the time. Wife bought me a new boat this year for Father’s Day. Quickly found the app trying to not keep a skunk on the boat very long. Found fish first trip out. Stopped at the first and closest to the ramp. Got one line in the water and before I could finish rigging the second one of my daughters had a 26” red in the boat. The smart fishing spots are great. The satellite images are my favorite to find structure and my own spots to avoid the crowds. Will have the app for life!!
