Best dictation app out there
I own or subscribe to all the dictation apps out there: Hello, Whisper Memos, Whisper Notes, and several others that all use Whisper for voice-to-text. I've even written my own with Apple Shortcuts and Whisper API calls that do something similar to what this does. I can say, hands down, this one is my favorite. Great UI.Show lessvamp007

Review for the app, Letterly
If you’re looking at the reviews for Letterly, just do yourself a favor and try it out and see for yourself. It’s been an incredible tool for me.
I have been using dictation for years and while it has made me more productive and increased my writing output tremendously, the most time-consuming and frustrating part was cleaning up the accuracy and structure in my dictation.
Having a tool that can structure what you dictated quickly and easily into a digestible written form is super helpful. The way we talk is not the same as the way we write, and dictation can be hard to capture some of the expectations we have from our writing, especially with structure.
The design of Letterly is exceptional in that it is low friction to start recording and to generate an output. Letterly manages to restructure your writing without introducing any hallucinations or anything you did not say. The prompt design is very thoughtful in that it really constrains the results to be just what you said with no embellishments. It's a way of leveraging AI to actually make your own ideas shine rather than use other people's ideas.
If you're someone who has to communicate any number of ideas, or you just want to capture ideas for your own life with things like journaling, Letterly is a great way to make that easier to do it through voice while still preserving your actual perspective in human voice.
One thing I would like to see the developers add that would be a nice benefit would be to put in your own writing samples as a guide for the model to output something similar and match your voice. All of the existing templates and prompts are extremely useful. That's just one that I think would elevate it and shorten the workflow even more.
Great work development team! I'm excited to use this app for years to come, and I've already recommended it to several of my colleagues. Thanks!

Just easy and wonderful to use. Simple interface. Great design. The AI revisions are the best I’ve seen without prompting.

Sure, this is absolutely fantastic for dictating work emails and getting them edited really well. Content creations also. Even just for that, this app would be amazing. But what blows my mind is the "Journal" edit - I will talk and record as I verbally journal my day, worries, hopes, fears and emotions, and not only will this app do a thematic analysis and group stray thoughts and events together into a pattern, but they will also analyse what you have said and share that analysis with you as a summary. It's like having a mini psychology session! The insights are so succinct and hard-hitting, and really helps you understand yourself and your situation so much better. I gave up on Siri and voice recognition with the inbuilt Apple tools never really getting the quality transcript I expected. I’d seen this tool recommended elsewhere and thought I’d give it a go. I’m super happy with it. Saves me time and the ai often clarifies the structure of my thoughts.
Great for writing quick emails or making notes after a meeting you can go back to. Time in the car travelling can be wasted and this makes the most of that.

I have used a lot of dictation software, and this beats them all! Even complex medical terminology is easily transcribed with the software. The only thing I would like to see added is for me to build my own templates in the app. Keep adding more features!Ilbyidilbhay!

Letterly beats otter, dragon and everything else by light years. The integration of dictation and support to rewrite is absolutely seamless and phenomenal. I just want to find the makers and hug them.
My daughter who has severe learning disabilities even uses it to write, text and make YouTube content for her cooking channel!
