  • Wow wow wow

Honestly had no idea what to expect going in but super glad that I did. I was a little late and that help get rid of potential awkwardness initially. But once I was there the conversation just flowed and everyone got along no matter what each others interest were. Just met with one of the guys from my group and we played pickleball the morning after. I totally recommend this app if you are lonely and looking for friends in a big city. I would say at the very least get a one dinner pass and test it out. I am still in contact with everyone from my group and am happy to do it again. So much fun!
  • Broken, totally unresponsive service, loss of funds

Since the App store opened in 2008, I've never had such a bad experience with an app as I had with this. Originally saw an article online about how cool it was to use this to socialize in a new city. Was planning to move for 6 months to a city served by this app so I installed the app and selected the first available rendezvous about a week or more ahead and payed the fee. The app said it would notify me beforehand of the location and tell me of the other dinner guests. It never did! No email, no SMS, no message, no contact, nothing. Later upon trying to find more information, inside the app it said I had missed the dinner and that was only allowed a few times. I emailed customer service to ask why I hadn't been contacted. It took 2 days for them to respond asking what my email was so I immediately responded with the one we were already using and same as the app has. It's now been 15 additional days with no further response from them. The booking fee seems to be lost and they are unresponsive even after additional emails. This kind of service is why bad language was invented
  • Extroverted events for Introverts

This is such a great concept to help people meet new friends. The small group dynamic and conversation game make it so conversation flows and you’re able to bond and have fun without all of the awkwardness of small talk with strangers. At my first dinner I met two people I definitely want to build friendships with and am looking forward to my next dinner. I signed up for three months and I’m really excited for Wednesday night dinners to see what happens and who I meet!
  • Awkward but memorable

The app does not set proper expectations. It also does not help determine if you will have an inconsiderate dominant personality at your table of 6 (when it was promoted as 5). Checks are not automatically split so make sure and ask. Also, maybe there can be an age range so you’re not paired with people who are 10 years older than you and don’t understand your perspective. I liked the concept but it needs work. Also, the people who have done this more than once say the restaurants are all the same. So if you buy the package be ready to eat at the same place.
  • So Much FUN!!

This was my first time left dinner and funny I actually knew and am friends with one of the people that was there! Our venue, Fin & Fino was outstanding; the food was scrumptious, and I love the games, basically the questions because they really get you talking and sharing with more depth and you learn the depth of other people, really connecting you with each other instead of everybody randomly talking about politics or how their day was!

    **Review: Timeleft Dinner with Strangers**

I recently had a unique dining experience thanks to an app called "Timeleft," which sets up dinner with five random strangers at a random restaurant. I stumbled upon this intriguing concept while scrolling through Instagram and decided to give it a try, even though it meant driving an hour into Manhattan.

The app pairs you with like-minded individuals based on a series of questions about music preferences, horoscope signs, religion, and other interests. I was a bit skeptical at first, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well the pairing worked.

From the moment we sat down, the conversation flowed naturally. We didn't even need to use the app-provided ice breakers because everyone seemed genuinely interested in getting to know each other. The mix of personalities and backgrounds made for a dynamic and engaging evening.

The atmosphere was lively, and it felt like dining with old friends rather than complete strangers. Each person brought something unique to the table, leading to a variety of fascinating discussions.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Timeleft and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to meet new people and enjoy a memorable meal. It’s a fantastic way to step out of your comfort zone and connect with others in a meaningful way.
  • The perfect was to make new friends

Timeleft is a wonderful opportunity to get out of your comfort zone and meet someone you may have otherwise never spoken to. The dinner group was well curated and I felt we all shared a same or similar mindset allowing for conversations to flow easily. The restaurant was in a great location with a good menu. The after “party” was a nice surprise as you got to connect with other time left dinner groups and make even more connections. Will definitely be attending more dinners with Timeleft.
  • Good times not so great scheduling

Listen, overall this did exactly what I was hoping for. I got to get out and meet some strangers that ended up being pretty cool.

Their coordinating with the restaurant wasn’t done as well and luckily, because I took it upon myself to handle the situation. It went well, but the restaurant owner was very frustrated about how the scheduling was done, which made it pretty confusing for those of us coming in whose first time it was on the app.

With that, I highly recommend giving it a try. We all had a great time created a group chat and got new people which is always fun.
  • A lovely way to spend a Wednesday evening!

The group I met for dinner was very well matched and we had great conversation for over 2 hours! I would definitely recommended to people wanting to make new friends in area or just to have a nice relaxing dinner out and get to know some new neighbors.
  • Wonderful experience, will do it again!

What a great idea! As I’m new to Seattle and looking to meet friends, this was a great way to get out of the house and know that I’m going to meet with like minded people.
The restaurant selected was really good, nice interior and good food. Only 3 others showed up to the dinner but everyone was friendly, talkative and there to interact and get to know each other.
The only issue I had was at the end of the night I realised none of the people at my dinner were in the app, it was other people who I didn’t have dinner with so I couldn’t have contacted them even if I wanted to.
All in all, a good experience and I will definitely go again in the near future.
