  • DO NOT BY ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE!

    I was a avid buyer on this site for several years, spending upwards of 100k

    I put up with the outrageous shipping costs and late shipments because I was still able to flip some of the stuff I purchased and make a small profit.

    The locations are franchises and most of the owners have little or not interest in treating buyers with anything but contempt. Most of them are realestate agents that want to get a listing so the offer to clear a house out after someone has past or moved to a home. Most have little experience running sales and really don’t care about the buyers. They are just a means to an end for them.

    Several times I was threatened with being kicked off their site because I didn’t pay a shipping invoice 1 day after I received it. Even though it would take a week, two weeks, a month or more for the franchise owner to send you one. When you get the shipping invoice be prepared to pay 3-5 times what it would normally cost to ship.
    I asked several of them if I could by my own shipping labels, asked if I could arrange my own shipping. The answer was always no read our terms “ you loathsome buyer”.

    Look at some of there terms, they use very hostile language at buyers before you purchase one item.

    Like I said in the opening, I put up with the abuse for several years because I was able to eeek out a small profit. But their fees and outrageous shipping costs have forced me to take my business elsewhere where they actually respect the people that keep their lights on.

    If you do shop here you have been warned by someone with a lot of experience with this site.

  • Please fix it!

    This app is constantly glitching. Worst app experience of my life. The convenience of monitoring my bidding from my phone is lovely, but I’m going to have to stop using it because of how unusable it is. It has gotten worse since i downloaded it maybe 6-8 weeks ago.

  • SO ANNOYING!

    I’m a big fan of CTBids as a service but the website has always been clunky and now the app is even clunkier. It’s hard to explain but the site and app are both glitchy. For example, it constantly signs me out and makes it incredibly hard to sign back in. It always takes me 5+ tries to sign in these days. Also, the search engine in the app doesn’t seem to let you search by zip code? I have absolutely no interest in seeing sales on the other side of the country. I really hope they fix this because checking CTBids used to be a regular thing for me and now I rarely bother.

  • I love it and it’s Almost Perfect

    Almost perfect,
    it needs the ability or link to see the rest of a collection.

    For example,
    If a item was suggested from a different lot,
    One should be able to follow a link to that item then the entire collection.

  • Barely functions

    The app is very glitchy and barely works. Back button doesn’t work. Screen goes blank when you click on items from an auction. Slow. Very frustrating and pretty useless.

  • Horrible

    After the April 1st 2024 update I have experienced so many issues. Constantly missing data or just completely frozen screens. I have to delete the app and reinstall it every time. Sometimes this happens in the middle of the final auction moments.
    Customer support gives advice that the actual local field managers denies is true. Also experienced trying to communicate about issues through customer support but the local people have denied receiving the information about any request from me. And after spending thousands of dollars on these auctions I receive notices that they will suspend my account.

    Pretty disgusted!

  • App is very buggy now

    The app used to work pretty well but lately won’t update and keeps making me sign in all the time. It also keeps the auctions going past the cut-off time, making it endless instead of with a hard end as an auction should be. This is NOT an auction.

    When an item shows that there is less than a minute to bid, you can still place a bid. Doing so will add extra time when bids are placed near the time that the sale begins to close to allow all bidders the same chance to win the item. It is like a live auction where an auctioneer asks “are there any more bids?”. When there is 3 minutes or less on the clock an bid is placed, time will be added, up until you see ‘soft close in progress’.
  • Buyer Beware On Rare Coins

    Please be aware if you buy rare coins at auction here, they do not disclose if the coins were cleaned. I got burned on several during a recent auction, and the coins are practically worthless—I lost almost $2500. Even if you have a keen eye, it’s hard to tell from the listings and these folks aren’t numismatic professionals so they don’t know.

  • Payment method

    I try to add my PayPal and it keeps saying information I put down is incorrect, so I try to change my password and it says my email does not have a PayPal, help please
