Cool app!

Just started using this today but wanted to say that the app is very easy to use and I love taking notes on it! Would love the ability to rotate my canvas as I’m using it.

Can’t draw

I’m on my ipad and i can’t draw anything. The screen just moves on touch but doesn’t draw anything even when the pen tool is selected.

Response from developer

Hi, you can enable Finger Drawing by clicking the settings gear in the top right and enabling the first setting: "Draw With Finger". Feel free to reach out to support@ahmni.app if the issue persists.

A Game-Changer for Learners: Why Ahmni Outshines the Rest

I've tried a bunch of infinite canvas apps like Freeform, Concepts, Notability, and GoodNotes, but none have resonated with me quite like Ahmni. It’s definitely my go-to now for anyone serious about learning.

One standout feature is the use of kanban boards, which isn't just about organization—though it does that fantastically—but it’s also about the concept of 'spacing.' This feature helps space out your retrieval sessions, allowing enough time to almost forget what you've learned before reviewing it again. This method really helps to cement the information in your memory, a technique I find incredibly effective for deep learning.

Plus, the built-in Pomodoro timer is perfect for managing study sessions. It encourages concentrated learning bursts followed by short breaks, optimizing my focus and retention.

Every element of Ahmni, from its user-friendly drag-and-drop interface to its practical tools for note-taking and brainstorming, seems carefully crafted to enhance the learning experience. It’s intuitive, helpful, and makes learning not just easier but also more enjoyable.

So, if you’re looking for an app that really understands and supports the way you learn, I highly recommend Ahmni. It’s more than just a tool; it’s a companion in your learning journey.

Great!! Must-have (4 month review)

I have use quite a few infinite canvas app but nothing quite beat this one! There are goals cycles and focus reminder pre and post session and the infinite canvas (which is actually infinite, chef kiss) zoom in and out are incredibly smooth and satisfying. It even have a built in screenshots systems and exporting for canvas (only takes seconds) in different formats which in itself is quite convenient. My biggest concern with infinite canvas app was that when lassoing it would made my writing pixelated and wonky (which is often the case with others) but for the first time regardless of how I may alters my writings it stays the same!! I feel that it is a worthwhile investment and might be one of the best purchases that have absolutely upgraded the way I structure my learning.

Great indie app

Does what it says on the tin. Developer is very helpful, open to communication and regularly updates it with meaningful features and bug fixes. Highly recommend

Exceptional tool

I’ve used infinite canvas apps such as Freeform, and Concepts and I have to say that Ahmni is the best IF your use case is learning, and productivity. If you want collaboration or extensive drawing capabilities (brushes/pens) then this is not for you.

Seemingly inspired by the iCanStudy advanced learning program this app has all the essentials for an advanced learner. The developer is responsive and committed. Subscribing was a no brainer.

My main issue is that some features such Schedule and Goal Cycle require extensive typing, which is difficult and unintuitive on the iPad. When the Mac desktop version releases this will no longer be a problem for me. Even so I would rate this app 4.5/5.
