Added layer of information
The standard ecobee app, while adequate gives you just the minimum in my opinion. This app goes much deeper into your system, offering additional suggestions over what ecobee suggests to enhance your systems operation for maximum efficiency. Not everyone needs what this app provides but to those of us who like to dig deeper into our HVAC operation this app is a great tool.

What the Ecobee app should have been!
Love this app! The interface is so much better than Ecobee, and the data is much richer. We just built a new home with two heat pumps in the deep south US. With a couple of extra sensors on each unit and the insights gained from the BeeStat app, I’ve been able to quickly figure out how to keep our home comfortable for all. I look forward to gaining more insights over time. Thanks for developing this app!! I hope my small monthly donation is helpful.

For all your thermostat data needs!
This app exposes all the hardcore data you would need to tweak your HVAC system using your Ecobees. We were having struggles during the summer with our upstairs unit cooling the space and when we got it replaced we were able to use the data from the Temperature Profiles to be able to see how much more effective the new unit was at different temperatures. It’s also really handy to see how long your system has been running and having all the historical data is great for comparisons.

Easy and quick HVAC analusis
I have been using app for about a year on my heat pump with oil furnace for aux heat. The app provides much of the data needed to decide when to switch from heat pump to aux heat as outside temps drop. I’m collecting real time data from the app to try to establish the magic analysis that would include the cost of oil and the cost of electricity. Here in the Northeast the cost of both types of heat varies dramatically from winter to winter. The heat pump can provide about half the heat output that the oil furnace can provide.

This is the level of smart application the Ecobee deserved from the factory. Thanks to this developer for all the work to develop, support and maintain this application.

Replaced the nest thermostat with the ecobee thermostat 1 week ago today (10/26). Really expected more detail from the ecobee app. While searching for more detail I found beestat, found the detail that I was looking for and more. Thanks for providing ecobee owners with the details. I have a geothermal closed loop system without supplemental heat, used a two stage compressor and with beestat I can see when the unit is running in stage 2, can check the history from last time on and back, can see how long compressor ran in stage 1 and stage 2, the time system was on and time it was not running. Great app! I give it 5 stars. Keep up the great work.

Best way to track HVAC performance
I’ve been using beestat for years now, and am happy to see an app version. This is identical to the mobile browser interface, which - in my opinion - is a good thing.
Beestat provides a clean, simple, data-rich look at your home temperatures and HVAC runtime metrics. I’ve used it to track system performance and help diagnose issues. I’d definitely recommend the app if you’re already a beestat user, or if you’re just an ecobee owner who wants to get the most information from your thermostat.
