  • Seems cool but not working

The site and format looks great to learn from, I’ve just been having this same issue after the very first lesson where it says “Something went wrong. error: invalid attempt to destructure non-iterable… In order to be iterable, non-array objects must have…” it goes off the screen. Seemingly can’t get past anything and restarting or making a new account doesn’t work either. I feel like it happened after I left a lesson mid way by accident, but to be happening forever after is crazy.

    Developer Response

Hey AlphaYnut! Sorry about that! We were in the middle of updating our lesson content to feel more like an actual story and there must've been a case where you an older version of the app had some lessons break. This should be fixed on the newest version (2.0.0) -- let me know if you're still running into issues!
  • It’s very good

I really like it sometimes the recording doesn’t pick up all I say but I can mark it correct if I did it well if this happens.
I like to feel under pressure in a conversation that feels real because I will need this experience soon.
  • Best speaking practice tool!

I use Wanikani and Bunpro for kanji, vocabulary, and grammar.

Iago let’s me APPLY what I’ve learned (in what feels like a safe environment) to feel confident enough to speak!

I’d recommend using this app after learning the basics and N5 content, so that you can focus on the speaking itself and not struggle with understanding what is going on. (This is from the closed beta - will likely be improved with time)

Don’t forget Iago is also a web tool! Check it out for flash card sets and and subtitles.
