Reviews of Tomb of the Mask+

  • Fun game but has issues.

    The game overall is fun, the gameplay in levels are well designed and the arcade mode is action-packed. But, after playing for a while (not really) their are definitely some quality of life updates or changes that are needed.

    Revival System & Death Prompt: There is no way to reset/restart after death, instead prompting a revive option, which is worthless and overpriced most of the time. Apon declining the revive, you get set back to the menu and have to select the level again.

    Upgrades: The upgrades and different characters feel purely cosmetic, and don’t have a real view of progression within the game. The shield power up has terrible activation and never activates when you want to, only when you hit the button by accident.

  • Needs Improvement

    Make it easier to just restart a level properly and not force players to go back to the level select every time. Improve the chest odds. After 20 chest opens I have only rolled the “25 Coins” option every time, except for the single time I got a shield. Let us disable the option of double tapping to activate shields, I end up activating it on accident and wasting it all because I was apparently swiping too fast for the game that it registered it as a “double tap”

  • Allow us to turn off seizure inducing effects?

    Decent enough game. I got headaches right away when the screen rapidly started flashing white on dark background - and this happens every time you die in the game. By the time I got to level 4, where the whole screen started filling up with rapidly flashing colors I could not handle it anymore. If not for me, could you add the option to disable these epilepsy/seizure inducing effects for the unassuming children?

    The gambling habit forming style of hourly rewards does not help either.
