LACourtConnect is a permanent part of the Court's Access LACourt | Your Way initiative (http://www.lacourt.org/newsmedia/ui/AccessLACourtYourWay.aspx). Do you have a registered LACC hearing? You can schedule a remote appearance for the cases listed below. • Civil • Family Law • Small Claims • Probate • Unlawful Detainer • Traffic Who can use LACourtConnect? LACourtConnect is for use by those with an active role in a hearing: litigants, attorneys, and witnesses. Because LACourtConnect is integrated with the case management system, it requires attorneys and parties to register, which is necessary to reflect their appearance in the Court’s records. Create a New Account (CourtID) Take advantage of the court's new remote appearance service by creating a CourtID. How to register for Remote Appearances? Remote appearances may only be scheduled for hearings that are on calendar within the next 30 days. Since September 7th, 2021 the Court provides LACourtConnect free of charge using one-time state budget funding. Restrictions Photographing, recording, or broadcasting your hearing is prohibited by California Rules of Court 1.150 and local rules of court. Language Assistance If you need an interpreter for a courtroom proceeding, the court will provide one at no cost to you. This is a free service for people who use the courts.
