  • Absolute garbage since purchase

    I have had several dash cams over the years. This Nexar One with all attachments has been a nightmare. From a delayed launch to app issues. To streaming issues, I’ve never had it working properly for more than two days in almost two years of ownership. I’m now sitting in my car for the last 3 hours trying to download a video from the camera and it just fails over and over again. It’ll get 95% and then the light on the cam turns red. What good is a cam that works only when it wants to and has no ability to download videos via a wired connection when the WiFi and Bluetooth doesn’t work. I wanted to love this thing and it’s been nothing but trouble. At one point I sent in my camera for replacement with original box and they sent me back a used camera with a beat up box. So disappointed. I feel taken. Chat support is nice, but usually unhelpful asking to perform typical troubleshooting steps that don’t work.

  • Nexar beam 2

    Not sure if it’s the app or maybe my dash camera but, I’m essentially paying 10$ a month for nothing. Can’t see live feed, car has gotten a few dings from objects and camera doesn’t even pick it up, but when I close the door slightly, I get alerted. Contacted customer support and they didn’t even help. They were asking what output was it giving, then told to just just off my WiFi and just use cellular connection then was told to do some other steps which were pointless. Ended up resetting the camera and I got my live feed back but then after a bit of letting my car rest. Checked the live feed option and it doesn’t connect anymore. Doubt I can return it since it’s been about a month or so but definitely not worth the expense. Go with an alternative dash cam

  • One of the worst app.

    I recently purchased beam2 to stream live while my car was parked at the bus station. The car is parked at a good reception location, but I can never stream it on my phone. I see many people having similar issues, but it seems like they are working to fix these issues to improve the customer experience. What a shame. I might need to return this product.

  • Feedback

    The app is okay, a bit buggy but I was able to connect my Beam 2, no problem. I would just like to mostly leave some feedback. It seems like every time I go into the app to live view my cameras feed, it records as a drive for a few mins even though I’m just in my house viewing the cameras feed. I would really love if there was some way to manually clip an event right after it happened. There’s a button on the side of the Beam 2, one click would be perfect to just manual clip something. I would love if it was possible to remove or add some things to the cameras overlay like remove the nexar logo or remove my speed or add GPS coordinates. A dark mode for the app would be nice as well. There are just my nitpicks in the app and camera itself that my old dashcam had that I would love on my new Beam 2.

  • Horrible App!

    I’ve been a long time, Nexar user and succumbed to the ad to buy the new beam 2, which I did. Tried using this app to connect first time around. I sat for over two hours in the car, trying to get it to connect and gave up took a trip. Somehow in the middle of the trip it connected. However, there is no connection to the app so I cannot see any of my trips or if I had an accident I would be able to access the video. I’ve spent 10
    Days trying to get a response from Nexar support and all I get is being bumped up to the next level and no one contacts me. Finally got an email today to reset device then reconnect through the onboarding of the connection process. 45 minutes later and I still am unable to connect. I just.

  • BEWARE! Doesn’t work

    You’re spending $400 on a camera that eventually wont work! It’s been 4 weeks and customer service is horrible and doesn’t know why my camera isn’t syncing to my phone. This is a useless app, a useless company, useless customer service. Just completely useless. Don’t waste your time.

  • CANT EVEN SETUP KEEPS CRASHING

    This is the second NXR camera I bought in the last two weeks. The first one didn’t have data. OK that’s my fault. This one I plug in and immediately try to set it up and the app continues to crash over and over and over for over $200 for I would feel that maybe the app should work please fix this quickly or I will be requesting a refund in the next week.   • It’s a good incremental successor.

    There are some bugs here and there and I’m guessing why the classic app is still around. For example, messaging support. If you tap a message from their Support while on the main app screen, you will be directed to the chat window, but the main menu is blocking the text box to write a reply. But the features are seriously cooking up on this version. Adjust parking sensitivity for your dashcam and live streaming your cabin cam are the two best add ons. It looks like there is no way to stream the camera over Wi-Fi Direct anymore, only cellular so that’s a downside. Only thing that this platform needs to ensure a lifelong customer is if they can allow the dashcam to connect to your home wifi network. That way, videos can be uploaded and live streaming can start instantaneously.

    It also appears to be having trouble with remote streaming still. Haven’t gotten it to start when away from car. Have to take away another star for now, but it’ll get there soon enough I’m sure.
