Getting paid to commute?

Works for what I need it to do. Get paid for riding my bike to work and catch a ride when I can’t bike home. Easy peasy.

New app is simply horrible

This updated app should never have been launched. It doesn’t work properly and has an awful, confusing, and redundant interface. On top of that, something must have changed with the way rewards are distributed. I haven’t won anything since the new app went online. After 4 years of diligent use, I will no longer be logging any trips with GA Commute Options. :( It’s just not worth the hassle anymore.

Awful

This app needs to be fixed. As others have noted, the interface is lacking, and even the sign-up is confusing. For instance, it asks for a PIN, which is to say a personal identification number. When it eventually provides one, via email, it’s not a number at all. This kind of lack of attention to detail seems to be present throughout the new app and the design of the new website.

Not good

Agree with the other reviews. This is an app that you would release if your goal was to disincentivize use of the program.

The rewards themselves were generally random/not worth the steps.

But it was nice tracking a ride and seeing the environmental stats + monthly drawings.

It is almost impossible to log rides (I refuse to turn on location tracking). Why aren’t the address limited to the atlanta area? Why can’t we select home and work from a list?

Used the old app almost everyday. I haven’t opened this one since the first week of release.

Deleted it today.

Suggestions

This is an awful app. Here are suggestions to make it more bearable:

- There’s no longer automatic trips for each day that there were in the last app. Bring these back if possible
- Make it so you can save your work and home location, and make each of those populate automatically when you log a trip. Why do I have to enter the same two addresses literally every day.
- Take a hard look at what your input values are. Why are you inputting “Distance” for telework? What does this even mean?
- The date selection is atrocious; the date pops up in this tiny box in the corner of the screen, then you have to click on that box again to choose a date. Make the calendar just pop up in the middle of the screen when you’re choosing a date.
- Why does the app auto-redirect you to your mobile browser when you go on some pages? The whole point of app is so you can contain the experience into just that app.

I’m sure there are more, but this is what I’d like to see fixed to make this bearable at least.

No longer worth it

The switch to the new app for logging trips has been miserable. So much clunkier. This morning it’s not at all functional. I did a pretty good job of logging all my trips in the old app even though the rewards were rarely interesting. With the hurdles in the new app, I’m likely a drop out.

Go back to old app

The new app is horribly confusing. Bounces between app and website. Where are all my old points? If they think I’m going to start completely over they can forget it. I’m out. The new app is trash wish I could give no stars.

Overly complicated

The original ga commute program/app was much easier to understand and relatively less involved.
This app is too complicated and overly Involved. The flip flopping from the app to their web site to see information or to log a trip breaks the experience. This new app may make be was to exit the program altogether unless they can make the overall experience simpler.
