Doesn’t load

I’ve deleted and redownloaded multiple time but it won’t load. Just wasted $2.99 🤷‍♂️

I paid for what?

11 chants I could have got for free. Absolutely no education. No written words. No interpretation of the sutras. This was a waste of my money.

Great Dharana practice

In studying the sutras, I enjoy listening along and just allowing the absorption of the beautiful Sanskrit verses. My mind is able to concentrate on the words chanted and allows for a state of being.

Authentic recitation of the Sutras

I have studied with Dr Ananda in India and he shares the wisdom of yoga with us from
his lineage. I had some of this on CD and would listen to it as I drove around. Now having an APP it is more accessible and I can listen and absorb the grounding healing wisdom of the sutras throughout my day.

Yoga Sutras of Patanjali

It’s a great app to listen chants of yoga sutras by the greatest and authentic master of gitananda rishiculture ashtanga yoga love and blessings aum

Excellent

As a yoga teacher, this is a must have!

Nice Listening App

This app provides a nice background sound for yoga practice. However, if you are trying to learn to chant, this is not the app you want to get. The different chapters of the Sutras are chanted in their entireties without the ability to go back and forth or repeat a sutra. If you are seeking to work on certain Sutras, you have no way to find an individual Sutra.

Once you have learned the 50 or so Sutras in each chapter elsewhere, you could use this app to practice doing the entire chapter at once.

Not for beginning Sutra chanters.

Get it for the chanting

Text is a summary of the whole sutra.

Great app to listen to yoga sutra chant!

This is a great app to listen to yoga sutra being chant. There are two modes - one with one voice chanting yoga sutra, and the other with one voice (supposedly the teacher) and the other voices ("students") repeating the part chanted.
What didnt quite work is the accompanying e-book. It does have an introduction re yoga sutra written by someone who seems to have been learning in a traditional way. Yet the app lacks the text of yoga sutra itself (in either Devanagari, transliteration or translation), so you will have to look at other apps for that.

Not bad

There are 6 chants where you can repeat after the guide- a drone playing in background too. Was at least expecting a written translation of the chants but only the invocation to Patanjali was given in the e-book. Was expecting to find the sutras in the e-book as well- there are a few but the written info is mostly a general interpretation of the sutras. Interesting non-the-less, and the chants are good audio quality. I don't regret the purchase, but will have to continue looking for the written sutras elsewhere!
