I have searched a long time for a good match 3 game that works smoothly, looks great for an adult, and that has a fair premium price with no ads or IAP or all the other junk most games like this have. I had given up.
Then I searched one last time and found this one today. All I can say is, developer, you read my mind. This is exactly what I’ve been wanting. THANK YOU for doing it all right and monetizing it so fairly too.
I read online that you’re thinking about some kind of endless mode, and I’d love that option. I typically prefer a random generated time limit high score kind of game over levels. So having that option would be wonderful. I draw to that blitz kind of thing more because it’s easy to do when you have a short break and not so strategically challenging.
Also maybe the app could use a tad battery optimization. It’s not horrible, but it maybe could be better. I turned off all effects (which I hate to do), and that does help some. The file size is about as big as I’m willing to download for a game. Seems like it could be a bit smaller, but it’s totally ok as is too.
I highly recommend this game and supporting a developer who is doing right by people. Ten stars here. Thank you!

Sorry I had to change my rating. There is the blue smoke/black bar feature that came up. A lot of match 3 use this. No other app makes the smoke grow at every patch occurrence when one block isn’t knocked out. So you have to use all your power ups to try to clear the smoke. You lose one square for every patch, even of you clear one, you have to gain more smoke. It’s not fun like this.

We are all tired of the match 3 games that have limited play or difficult levels that require watching an ad, paying for power ups, or slogging through onerous story lines that we don’t want to see. Sometimes we want an easy distraction and this is perfect. it’s an idea that is very welcome.

I’m sorry to hear you don’t enjoy that particular game mechanic. It’s definitely one of the trickier special pieces in the game! One strategy I find helpful is to make a match whenever possible near a black or gray piece to prevent them from spreading. If you happen to make any rainbow tiles on the board, save them for when you aren’t able to make a match near the black or gray pieces.
It is a hard balance trying to create a relaxing game, but still including trickier elements for players that do want a little bit of a challenge. I definitely try to vary the elements between levels so you don’t get stuck with a lot of frustrating levels in a row. I hope you can understand! I’m glad you are enjoying the game otherwise! Like the title says, this has become my most played game. It’s such a simple concept, but it’s presented in a relaxing, but thoughtful way.
The developer is responsive when you have questions or issues, and it makes the game feel like those old school iOS games (wow I feel silly writing that) before IAPs and incredibly intrusive ads were the norm. I’m glad to pay a nominal fee for this game, it’s certainly worth more than the $1.99 it costs.

A few things. Is there a hint system? If I get stuck, I’d like a hint. If there are no moves, there is no choice but to restart. Perhaps there is a shuffle option? Thank you.
The buttons seem stuck sometimes. This is a feature of the game, it makes a difference which piece you combine with the match. But I’m not sure how to make it smoother. Not a big deal but noticeable.
Again it’s an idea that is very welcome.

Since the latest update my playing time has not advanced in the achievements; the total number of minutes played is stuck. Also on level 280 one of the pieces I need to clear is not spawning. I see that the dev has been super responsive to bug reporting so I’m sure this will resolve soon!

These bugs have all been fixed in the 1.5 update! If you do encounter any more, please email me at mulberrytreegames@gmail.com and I will get them fixed ASAP :) Great game but I’ve encountered a bug on level 231. It says I have to destroy 12 cover piece blocks but there aren’t any on this level.
