I’m a few days into using the Minimal Phone Launcher, and it works fine as a notification and distraction suppressor just as I anticipated.
However, The main reason I’m writing this review is to highlight the developer! I’m incredibly impressed with the effort and timeliness given by “Airman” to answer my concerns and incorporate shortcuts to essential apps, which are tools I need to run my Business. This gives me faith in this app. If he’s serving the other users this way, the app catalog will fill rapidly, and feature suggestions will likely be integrated and improved.
Also I should mention I immediately purchased the lifetime subscription, and it was more reasonable than a few overpriced competitors.
Just got this a few days ago, but it’s been really helpful. I think it does its job perfectly and simplifies the phone to a few basic components. You COULD have more apps available but honestly that kinda defeats the purpose. I think it’s perfect!
The simplicity is nice, when it works. Unfortunately right now all the widget shows are gray rectangles in place of the text that should be there. The shortcuts still work but there's no words sadly. Hopefully it gets fixed soon!
It’s like dieting. If you keep your junk food easily accessible, you will break your diet. This is the same thing but limiting your ease of access to doomscrolling apps like TikTok and instagram. Although you could easily delete those apps. This app does things in a clean and organized manner.
Only thing is that the clock widget is a little bland. Please add more interfaces! I love the iPhone clock app icon because it has an actual clock face that is live! Maybe something like that. Or even more minimal just showing the time. Not date AND time.
Different themes in general would be cool. The app is very black and white. It’d be nice to have a minimal blue, or minimal red.
Also whenever you click on an app in he widget, it opens a page in Minimal Phone Launcher, THEN the app you chose. Kinda finicky, I’ve gotten used to it. But if that could be fixed, that would make this app that much smoother.

The app cuts all the minutiae out of life. It keeps you focused on what’s most important and leaves the rest by the wasteside.
Very clean app and will have you reaching for your phone less so you have time for the more important in life.
A must have app in this busy and distracting life we live in.
Some Apps weren’t available to set up upon request to the author, then had to wait a whole day fore them to be added.
Author is willing, anyhow, it was asking for a five star review even before I tried the app (and even without having my apps available!)
also, time an date went wrong when internet connection was off.
Good idea, but still work to do on it…

I have been long awaiting this app to be released and am very grateful to finally have it installed on my phone. It takes a couple minutes to setup, but the video tutorial is excellent and walks you through it quite easily. Once setup the app works flawlessly. Customer service is also top notch as I had an app that wasn’t listed on their “favorites” selection, so I sent over an email from their app and it was quickly added to their list. Thanks for creating this and I look forward to seeing it develop over the years!

I would definitely recommend trying it out! One of the few like apps that allows you to try and offers a premium version at a very modest price.
The developer is super responsive to feedback and can add any apps that you would need if they are not already supported.
