Suprisingly useful for guitar
While I get its probably meant for more modular synth type music, certain settings have their usage in getting really interesting noise rock like tone when combined with a decent amp sim. I was running this into a vaguely jcm900 inspired amp simulator and if you don’t go too extreme with wavefolding parameter and have some distortion come from amp you can get some nice bright 90s fuzz tones.

I think ive lost complete faith in humanity.
If you're ranking the top ten apps, Fold would be there at the top section, no, no , im not taking about top 10 of Audiothing's app, im talking about the whole iOS community's apps.
Seeing only two reviews, i pressed the 5 stars 6 times, so the score is
30 stars which is absolutely not justifies the beauty of this Lady Fold.
sometimes i think , Audiothing is definitely one of the "Four Horsemen" Developers, AppStore should be grateful towards Audiothing. As there are devs ruining AppStore's credibility with krapy apps like IK multimedia, Who's the dev of that krap drum app, which don't follow its own metronome.
and here comes Audiothing with unparalleled stability and rock solid, apps. till now, not a single crash or bugs.
i had strange dream a couple of days ago, Audiothing just released an Acoustic Drums App,
oh Dear Good Lord, just when i was going to press play, Ma woke me up!
i don't Care, if it comes true or not, ill be eagerly waiting. ufff!
we love you Audiothing!
Fold is legendary, truly one of a kind.
my apologies for bothering you eith this long annoying review.
ill stop right here. Regards.

Excellent APP
App support is excellent. Fantastic app.

Like all our 25 apps on the App Store, Things Fold is indeed AUv3! Just restart your device if you can't find it in your DAW.
Great app
And it’s definitely AUV3. The other reviewer doesn’t know what they’re doing lol
works as an auv3
works flawlessly in AUM as an auv3
Buggy, and user manual is terrible
Okay, so I've been playing with this for a while now and it is capable of good and diverse things, for instance adding punch to drum tracks is a standout capability. BUT. As usual with Audiothing, the so-called user manual is an absolute joke and they've spent no time on it. For instance, the description of what the feedback control in the app does: "Controls the amount of feedback to be applied". NO WAY, REALLY?!? I would never have guessed that. And the initial release is buggy. Running AUM in portrait mode on my iPad Pro, if you load Things Fold into an effects slot then tap the icon it forces the entire iPad into landscape mode and the plugin goes full-screen. You can't change this. Furthermore, whenever you first launch Things Fold it automatically mutes the input to avoid feedback. Okay, most effects apps do this ONCE when you first run them. In Things Fold, you have to manually unmute the input every single time you use the app. Would have scored this higher if Audiothing bothered to write an actual manual, and if the app was less buggy...

Not AUv3
I would give this a 5 star if it worked as an AUv3.
