I have played Story mode so far (roguelite). Very much like Dungeon Warfare 2, but with rogulite mode. I like it.
Deck of cards that are traps (played onto the map) or skills (used) or powers (passive in-battle upgrades). The cards are varied and can reward curated build-crafting. On mobile, the UI is too small. It is very difficult to select and read any of the icons because the display only shows while pressing and is under the pressed location. i can’t see through my finger to read. Clearly this was designed with mouse and keyboard in mind. There are even keyboard shortcuts displayed sometimes. Controls are generally good. Effects seem to match the descriptions as written. Main quibble right now is visual glitch associated with gold enemies. When they die, their body launches towards the camera somehow and goes around it so that most of the screen is covered as if inside a hot air balloon. This happens multiple times in a row making plays impossible (because the map view is entirely blocked). I wish I could turn off all death animations and instead have a fade out or something.
