  • Restricted med list

The app says currently only psychiatric and cardiovascular medications are supported. The utility of this app could be greatly expanded if the user were allowed to enter their own meds, regardless of name. I understand user-generated med names would not be included in your pre-loaded database of anticipated side effects. However, as long as there is a list of X medications (incl user-generated names + doses) and a list of Y side-effect options, a user could consistently select meds taken and side-effects noticed to effectively utilize your app’s ability to make statistical correlations between meds and side effects is invaluable. Many people need these insights to fine-tune their medication regimens or demonstrate outcomes to their doctors. Please, free up this app to have far greater utility.

    Developer Response

Hello Dismayed.d.d.d Thank you so much for sharing your valuable feedback. “How You Pill” was developed with the goal of empowering people by helping them track correlations between their medication use and side effects, and improving communication with healthcare providers. We are also aiming to allow users to add any medications they take. However, it takes some time to organize clinical trial data from FDA-approved medications and have it verified by pharmacists. Currently, we have released the app based on the cardiovascular and psychiatric medication data that we’ve completed, but we understand that the range of available medications is still limited. If you let us know the name or type of medication you’re searching for by contacting support@vivivava.co.kr, we will review it for potential inclusion in future updates. Once again, thank you for your valuable feedback, and we will continue striving to make the app even better.
