Fabulous! One of the best apps on my phone
AutoMute does exactly what it says -- mutes your phone's ringer and notifications when you're at a specific location and then automatically unmutes the phone when you leave the location.
If you like, the app will even notify you when you've entered the mute area and the phone has been silenced. It will also notify you when you've left the mute area and the phone's sounds have been turned on again. You also get to choose how wide a radius the mute zone will encompass.
And the feature I find the most handy: there's a toggle switch that will unmute the phone even if you're still in the mute location. Likewise, you can easily mute the phone again by toggling the switch.
This feature is great if you don't need to have your phone muted the entire time you're at a location.
Oh, and if you have a question or a problem there's a built-in feature that allows you to easily contact the developer. I've asked a few questions getting started and the developer has always answered in a couple of hours. What more could you want?

Wonderful - no more volume control and mute switch mistakes
AutoMute is wonderful. It is the only app I have found that reliably controls the volume of my iPhone based on locations. My iPhone 6S Plus indicates that geofences are being used - which I have set to a decently wide area. I have not noticed any significant battery impact due to the use of AutoMute. I am amazed that there aren't other automation apps like this for the iPhone - I don't have to worry about volume control and mute switches any longer.Show lessDmorlitz
Auto Mute does what the name says.
I am forever forgetting to unmute my phone when I leave a place where I've muted it. Now it isn't a problem, Auto Mute by Location takes care of muting and unmuting for me. Good app
This works pretty well, but if you have an issue, there is a feature to send a log file to the author - and he will work with you to address the issue. That is remarkable considering the price of the app.BirdDOGgone
Works fine
I have had no problems with this app. I run a daily route and this is perfect to silence the phone and turn it back on again. The app is easy to use and it's notifications show up on my pebble watch.Bob Frog
Works really well.
I don't usually bother to review apps but this one works perfectly. Easy to set up and now I won't get told off at work for leaving my phone off silent. Fully automatic, no need to flick the 'silent' switch. Good work.DocTomW
App works for me
Seems to me this functionality should have been incorporated into iOS already. Since it's not, my search brought me here. I followed the instructions posted with the apps description here. I used the apps default settings and find it works for both myself and my wife as designed. I'm very satisfied with app.Show lessG&M G
Okay app, could use some improvements
I am having a 95% success rate with this app. I am using with 2 different wifi networks that I have access to and one location without wifi network access.
The app could use some improvements:
1) better looking interface
2) better (immediate recognition) of the new location. Sometimes there is a delay.
That being said there were no other better apps in the store. So for now I am sticking with this. With some improvements I would rate this app higher.Show lessBuckeye205
Very useful
I'v had the app for a couple of weeks. I go to quite a few gym classes at 3 different gyms. I was always forgetting tos switch off my phone but with this App it is no longer a problem.
