  • Doesn't work - like Translink itself.

    As everyone else here says, this app does not work. After navigating its poorly designed, labyrinthine and counter intuitive interface to the point where I want too buy a ticket - it crashes. We understand, Translink is a useless government-funded dinosaur which doesn't care at all about its passengers since things would run much more smoothly for them if there weren't any, and they'd all still get paid. This app is a testament to its utter worthlessness and to the impossibility of using public transport as an alternative to the car in NI.

  • Can’t access day ticket

    I resisted switching to new app because knew would involve hassle. Decided today to wait for later bus because knew would have to switch soon anyway and spent the time logging into new app. Could not make new account but still had to enter all my info. On way home I tried to access my day ticket. App said I was logged into account already. I wasn’t but logged-in on old app and logged out again. Still could not log-in on new app. Driver let me on. Was going to get a Glider also but changed my plans in case got less sympathetic reaction. Paid about £6 more for shopping because went to shop closer to home without deals on.

  • Not showing active ticket

    Bought a monthly ticket on a different phone. Had an accident with that phone and logged into my account on a different phone to access my monthly ticket only to find it’s not showing up on the other account despite having days left on the ticket.
    Frankly useless and greedy of the app when I have spent £230 to buy the ticket. Fix it.

  • Worse than the first one

    This app is unreliable and unstable and is a downgrade from the app it replaced. There are some better features in the mapping action but the ticketing side of the app is poor.

    Multiple times I have not been able to retrieve the day ticket I have purchased because the app says I need to log in; it won’t let me. The only way I can log back in is to request a password change, which it won’t allow - it tells me I’m already logged in. I also, always, have to click twice on the purchase button which is frustrating.

  • Does not work!!

    The old app worked far better - what is the point of making a new app if it doesnt even work? Constantly logs you out of your account at the most inconvenient times, freezes and doesnt let you activate tickets and kicks you out of the app when you press the activate ticket button. I’ve had to show many bus drivers how the app is broken and I can’t activate my ticket just so I can still get the bus! Unreliable and awful

  • Useless, WiFi problems

    I sign into the app in the morning on my house on WiFi so that I will be able to access my ticket offline during the day as the app says however, when I am offline the app keeps me logged in but when I go onto my tickets it says I have no active tickets. This is such an inconvenience as this means during the day when I have ran out of mobile data etc I won’t be able to show the Translink staff the ticket I have purchased and I will be made to purchase another ticket or I won’t be allowed to travel. I purchase a monthly ticket and that is already expensive as is, never mind purchasing tickets in addition to that when I am unable to connect to WiFi or data which would allow me to show my previously purchased monthly ticket. This app is terrible, I understand Translink were trying to make an improvement from the old app but this doesn’t come anywhere near to an improvement. At least in the old app I was able to access my ticket when I wasn’t connected to wifi or using mobile data. This has to be fixed it is completely unacceptable to take more money than necessary from app users.

  • There was no need for another app

    especially not one that performs WORSE. Lack of QoL, logging in is frustrating, and it logs you out at random. The interface is largely the same but performs worse when purchasing a ticket.
  • Terrible, unreliable and unecessary

    I use the app every single day and since this new app has come about (for god only knows why) there has only been issues. Currently I cannot use this app at all, it either tells me I'm signed in but shows as if i am not so I cannot purchase a ticket, completely crashes when i try to see my ticket and/or refuses to open even after troubleshooting, uninstalling and reinstalling and changing my password.

    It is so useless and ridiculous how unreliable it is, I've gone back to using the old app as thank god it still works (for now).

  • Signed me out

    Had to spend a fiver on a day ticket today despite having a ylink card because I was logged out of the app for no reason, which I cannot afford regularly as I am still in education. Why put up the prices when the service is the exact same poor quality? You can’t expect everyone to switch over to a new app when it doesn’t even function properly, but again, what else would you expect from Translink, stuck in the past.

  • Temperamental and Useless

    The old mLink app had its problems, but at least it worked. This new app has nothing BUT issues, and decides to close itself when you try to do anything with it. After finally managing to get logged in, my only option to buy a ticket is to gift it to someone else, and when I try to access my ticket wallet, the app crashes.

    I’ve uninstalled and redownloaded the app twice now and it hasn’t done a thing to help me actually solve the problem. After reading other reviews of this dreadful app, I can see other people are having identical issues and nothing is being down to resolve it. What a waste of time.
