  • Excellent

Works great except for a little bug I found. In CarPlay in the "Trips" section and "fuel remaining in tank" it only shows gallons. If you change the units to litres in settings it will show the litres symbol but it wont do the actual conversion. So 10 gallons will show as 10 litres after changing the units.

  • CarPlay PIDs

Absolutely love this app. Highly configurable plus you can view the data on CarPlay. The developer is responsive to emails and suggestions, and may just offer to add features to meet your specific needs. Do yourself a favour and take a look at it.
  • Best overall for my use

Ive tried all of them. I have a 2024 Toyota and whilst it’s not listed they have the same model as a 2021 which is when my model changed. I paid extra for the Toyota enhancement diagnostics and everything was listed and ready.
Simple clear readouts and not overwhelming to change the gauges etc. I wish I knew about this before any previous purchases. Make sure you have one of their supported adapters. I use the Kiwi3.
I’ve never written a review so I felt compelled after this. Yes it costs money. Yes the enhancements for certain models cost money. But you get what you pay for and there seems to be regular support on updates for this app unlike many others
I highly recommend it. I’ve deleted all the other apps like dash command that was just a pain to setup nicely but that’s just me

  • Disappointed in CarPlay support

This review applies only to the CarPlay support in the App.

While I was pleased to find the integration, I am disappointed in what can be displayed. I was hoping to see a dashboard presentation, like in the App, on CarPlay. At time of writing (28 Mar 2024) I can only see a few PIDs and cannot seem to add or change anything other than the basics of economy, engine temperature, RPM, and speed — all of which I get from the dash display of the cars I presently driver. If other PIDs can be added - such as fuel trim, manifold pressure, or ignition timing, the method to do so is not known to me.

Regarding the general functionality - 5 stars. I purchased the add-in for Toyota. It provides me capability to read all the computer codes and monitor live data. Been using it for years. On one of my cars, which has an aftermarket supercharger, it is the only instrument that allows me to see the boost level (as the SC kit did not include any installable boost gauges).

    Developer Response

You can configure the CarPlay screens and PIDs on the Settings > Preferences > CarPlay page in OBD Fusion on your phone. CarPlay doesn't support displaying dashboards, so OBD Fusion has to work within the framework that CarPlay supports. I really hope you reconsider your 2 star rating since it sounds like you are happy with the app. It's always unfortunate to see a bad rating after adding a new feature to the app, especially one that users have been asking about for a while.
  • don’t waste your money on this app.

Purchased specifically for an SRS fault, read the information which indicates that it was able to do this and it doesn’t. It indicates that you have to purchase additional functionality that it is suitable for my vehicle it wasn’t thus the app is useless and a waste of money no refunds and that’s why you have to pay up front just to download it don’t waste your money on this app.

  • Now with CarPlay support!

This app is so great, and I am happy to see that it has been recently updated with CarPlay support. Well done!
  • Can’t diagnose a flat battery!

Just be aware that unless you’re prepared to pay $90US for the enhanced diagnostics, it can’t tell you your battery is flat. Lower cost options in the market can.
  • Must have tool

This has worked perfectly for me on multiple vehicles. Nice compact design. Simple user interface. I keep it in my vehicle at all times.
  • Deceitful. $15 gets you a toy app. Then pay WAY more for anything useful.

Just another dodgy business model to access your wallet. Do yourself a favour - just head STRAIGHT to CAR SCANNER PRO and download that - FAR superior to this. You figure the $15 download fee will give you enhanced diagnostics.. only to find it gets you almost nothing - just the simplistic app with nothing advanced to fix your car with. Pay much more for those as ‘options’, and that’s IF your car is supported, which mine wasn’t. So I just wasted $15. That’s a big zero from me. For the win: just get the FANTASTIC Car Scanner Pro app.

  • Fixed and heaps better

After an initial false start Matt has sorted my issues and made the app even better than it was before the update. Definitely quicker and loads all pids as before. Thanks again for going above and beyond to get it sorted over the weekend Matt. Cheers Frank
