The concept is fantastic. But here is a feature request.
Tie the software into an online database of speed limits, leverage the GPS in the phone to see where the user is, leverage his internet connection to download the local relevant speed limit dataset, and then alert only when the user is going above the speed limit. That way it's not always beeping away for no reason which makes the alerts that much more valuable. Also, from the app being able to disable alerts on the X or K band and only keep the KA and Laser would also be fantastic.

A great APP
I really didn't need this APP and the V1 Connection LE module but I said what the heck. This system adds a new dimension to the Valentine V1 Radar Detector. Even plays well with my vehicle's blue tooth system. Well worth the price of the adapter.NR2D
Turns V1 into a beast.
This app allows you to custom sweep Ka band so you can actually turn off Ka guard without having tons of false alerts. This makes the V1 into a much faster detector helping you catch fast I/O shots and also increases range.
The other great thing about this app is that it allows user to see the frequency of the alert, which can help you decide if it is a false or a real threat.
I just wish the frequency displayed was much larger to make it easier to read.Show lessDJ1974
Very awesome addition to the V1
I have used this app for about a day now and I am impressed at how responsive the app is with the V1 unit. I have not noticed any lag between the two units.
I love the amount of technical information the app provides. It's like having all of the Escort radar detector features in one Valentine package. Very happy with V1 connection.
Only issue I have so far is when I tried to show the app to my friend at work I could not get the Warning pop up to go away so I could show the demo. Please fix that, very annoying.Show lessXcceLL
Not useful
I was excited to see this app come out as ice been waiting in getting a valentine one. This app is pretty much useless other than giving you different ways of viewing what the valentine one already tells you. It doesn't have any audio so the V1 alerts won't come through your phone, so you still need to have the V1 audio. I wanted this app to allow me to plug my headphones into my phone and listen to music while on my bike, and if a threat was detected have it override the music audio and give me the threat audio... Just like google maps does when giving directions. So until this app incorporates proper audio... It's pretty much just eye candy for tech geeks. As soon as the app starts, then shows the warning message, then it shuts down :(

Dear MR Mike this is nice app which has a lot of potential from map integration and social network integration to like (WAKE). Their is a younger generation coming which want more them a radar detector, you have the tool like Savvy were you can access date from the car speed , g force , Temperature ect will be something unique and integrated in the app via Bluetooth which i will pay for something like this. Needs some work
Without the upgraded V1 this is nothing more than a remote screen. It doesn't revert back to the program after a call . Does Valentine think that your phone is devoted only to this app? It needs multitasking and screen recall to begin and more features for the original V1s. Come on Mike , this is 2013 already and we have been waiting for this for a long time. Now running Custom Sweeps on my V1. Hardly ANY Ka falses! I'm loving it.
