Super budget tracking app

It has all the features what you need to keep an eye on your spending. I have purchased a little bit of extras including the analysis charts and it is very good to see how we are tracking. I like that it is not linked to the card, I lodge all transactions immediately when they happen. Very easy to use and see, where your spending is, what you can and cannot influence.

Only I wish it can do even long term projections (1 year, 3years and 5years) charts. Also as a suggestion: some of the spending labels I no longer use and I am not sure how to delete them within the category. It always comes as a suggested label, however there is no function to get rid off it :) not a big deal. Overall - love it!!! Customer since 2017!!!

The Most Practical Way to Budget AFAIK

It was unusually difficult to find an budgeting method that didn’t require an online account or - at the other end of the spectrum - required me to basically be my own accountant in the worst way. This is the best mix of detail, privacy, and accessibility that I’ve ever seen in a budget tracking or data utility app in general. I spend very little time thinking about money now, while I’ve saved and invested more than ever since using this app. It gives me the information I need about my spending and gets out of my way otherwise. There is actually a lot of room to budget in different and dare I say creative ways here.

In my case, I’m meticulous but lazy. I track every novel purchase, rounded up to the nearest dollar, but I’ve added regular costs that fluctuate as fixed monthly costs based on their average e.g. a tank of gas every two weeks. That makes my cost of living more or less built in to the budget, so my balance is 100% for food and leisure barring emergencies and other surprises. Psychologically this does wonders; knowing that your needs are financially accounted for makes you feel almost like a kid saving up 10s and 20s for the thing you want. Even if it’s what you would consider pocket change after the bills are paid, you have a clear idea of what you can spend freely. Granted, this is an aspect of household budgeting when done right anyway, here it is achieved with very little effort.

Amazing budget tracker app

Absolutely love this app and all its features, really helps keep me on track, very easy to use. I love the distribute function for larger expenses.
Tip for the developer: when you distribute an amount it always had the starting date from
The first of the month instead of “today”, which is frustrating to change every time as I would like to enter that payment from today’s date. It used to be like this when it was under the “big expenses” option. I like that it’s been integrated into the main budget page, but can it be changed back to today’s date instead?

Thank you so much for reaching out! Big Expenses should be defaulted to today as their Start date - could you kindly email us to support@dailybudget.de so that we can investigate your case?

Game changer!

This app has transformed how I spend my money. It provides you with a daily allowance and keeps track of all your spending so you know exactly how much you have spent and how much you have to spend. It enables you to save for big purchases and budget your money in a time frame that suits you, monthly, weekly , fortnightly etc. I have tried other apps but soon give up as they are cumbersome and complicated. This is quick and easy and straight away you feel like you are making progress as your daily allowance adds up. Love it and highly recommend it whether you use the free version or the one time payment paid version.

Best budgeting app I've ever used

This is the only app I've ever tried that has been so effective I use it habitually. While it doesn't match with the amount of money you have in your account at any given time, it focuses on what your budget is for each month and allows you to break down bigger expenses across days to keep your daily budget in the blue. You can get little add ons to see graphs of trends etc. The most satisfying is when you don't spend much money on one day, then the remaining budget rolls onto the following days. Makes me feel good for not spending money on frivolous things.

Great App!

Have struggled for quite a while to find a suitable app to record transactions, found most stung with an exorbitant subscription fee.

This app is easy to use, takes minutes to set up and is perfectly fine to use in the free version if you don’t wish to pay the reasonable/one-off charge.

I will be using the free version for a bit to ensure I am sticking to the habit before upgrading, but so far it’s been genuinely fun to use - I am thoroughly enjoying watching the daily balance add up!

Simple and Effective

I’ve tried so many budget apps, but none have ever worked as well for me as Daily Budget. After getting lost in the bells and whistles of so many others, what I need boils down to tracking how much money I have left over after accounting for my monthly expenses—which is exactly what this is. I don’t need a panicked notification when I spend $5 more on utilities this month or go into the red when my “dining envelope” is tapped out. For me, budgeting needs to be simple in order to be sustainable. This is a straight forward picture of what I can spend, and it’s flexible. You can add in extra income or split the cost of future big purchases out of your daily budget. You can edit any budget at anytime without ruining the whole thing. I’m glad I finally found this app.

Great App

This app has pretty much got it just right for me. I find it amazingly helpful to keep track of my expenses and curb my spending habits. The only thing I would love to see is the ability to keep a tally on multiple bank accounts within the app rather than just my overall pay for the week. More so because I have an account where my Bill money goes and then two other accounts for saving purposes. Other than that a fantastic app, keep up the good work!

UPD: We are currently running the beta test of DBO successor app, Today's Budget, which has multiple budgets with currency setting and other improvements (https://www.reddit.com/r/TodaysBudget/comments/u1coj5/sneak_peek_multiple_budgets_with_currency_setting). If you are interested in trying the beta, kindly drop us a line! OLD: We are thankful for your feedback and going to add an ability to manage several budgets within one app in future updates!

It’s really useful... but...

When I make a transaction I enter it into the app. Easy.

But when I make a transaction and distribute it across days it breaks it up into smaller transactions. But this makes it’s easy to lose track of which transactions I’ve entered and which I have yet to enter - especially during busy shopping times like Christmas.

It would be great to be able to see the full amounts that I’ve entered so that I can keep track, and not just the daily amount. A “history” feature would be really useful. If this is already there I can’t find it.

Thank you very much for reaching out! All distributed expenses can be found under Menu > Big Expenses - there you'll see all details on them including the total amounts. When you enter the actually paid amount, the Big Expense is completed and transferred to the "Past" tab.

Exactly what I need

I cannot recommend this app enough if you want to stop living pay cheque to pay cheque. The best way is to set a daily budget and pay attention to where that money is going each day. My favourite feature is the ability to distribute a large payment over days, weeks or months such as a monthly subscription or a one-a-week spend. You can even factor in how much you want to save and it will calculate that into your daily spend limit. The widget makes it super easy to keep track of your limit and how much you are saving. The developer has thought of every feature that you would need to make a daily budget work.
