Gunship 3 is a fantastic game. After the update, gameplay runs a lot smoother, with a lot less crashing. One of the interesting concepts about this app is the realism. Nowadays people hail games that have amazing graphics, but in this case, ya don't need them. The gameplay involves a realistic flight simulation with both aircraft, and helicopters. The flight controls are simple and easy to use, and there is a craft for every class so to speak. As for the models, they are simple on the outside, but inside the cockpit, the detail is quite surprising. Gameplay is different too. Instead of going for a kill count/Score, it instead focuses on the team as a whole moving together to complete an objective. The best part is that the gameplay is virtually unlimited, albeit a little repetitive. Of all the simulation flying games I've played this is the first that allows for a Beyond Visual Range kill in a fighter, so if you fly the Phantom, you don't have to wait for enemy fighters to render before getting a kill. Another feature that others lack is the ability to bail out. Most flying games end it there, but you actually bail, then when you land, a teammate can come and rescue you.. On the downside the graphics could use some work, and I'd personally like a little more variety in the aircraft selection. Overall this is a great app, and it's definitely worth the money for the paid version.
