Not Worth Your Time And Money
Because the readings are greatly affected by the position of your microphone (iphone) and the force of the drum taps, I found it difficult to get consistent readings. The instruction manual is borderline useless because it seems to assume you already know how and why to tune a drum kit. It also has no explanation of the drum preset function. In the end I kissed my money goodbye and went back to tuning by ear. Much less frustrating. Oh, the developer will probably reply to this, saying they’ll work with me to achieve satisfaction. But spending even more time emailing screenshots and watching more online videos (as several other reviewers have apparently done) isn’t worth it to me.Show lessMelville Thesaurus
Sometimes annoying to navigate, loses data
To me, the only reason to sign up with an account would be so that you have data stored. When upgrading to a new phone you wouldn’t think you’d have to worry about losing all your data on an app like this, but then you do and wonder if it’s worth the time to set it all back up again.
When wanting to tune to the same kit you always do, it take many taps to get to the right place, then you have to go back to the main list each drum instead of just picking a kit and cycling through the drums in it. Just annoying to use but it’s still a useful tool.

Overall I love this tuner. It’s convenient because it’s an app for your phone and if you’re anything like me, the farthest it gets from me is the nightstand. It’s always on me, so when I need to tune a new head back to the same tuning I don’t have to remember where I put it last. It’s right there in my pocket. It has tools in it that help tune both the fundamental tone and the tone at each tension rod. Also, you can make up your own drum kit and customize it from what it was tuned at to what kind and brand drum heads you use to your brand of kit you play. It helps you tune to intervals between your drums as well. My only gripe is between the offered videos and the manual, it doesn’t cover what certain things are or how to use different operations. I figured most of it out after viewing everything and putting the pieces together, but I would still like to see a much more in depth manual. Again, overall I think this is a great tuning app. I found that using a mallet works best.
UPDATE: they leave their support email address assuring that they will reply to any help or question you have but they don’t. It’s extremely frustrating. No one seems to monitor their emails. This has been a problem for well over a year, possibly two. I’m very disappointed with that.Show lessARMcBride83
