  • Great radar app

If you just need a clear, clean design radar app that displays the BoM’s radar data for your area, this does the job perfectly. Developers respond quickly to issues and provide updates fast. Excellent.
  • Easy

This rain radar app pins you on the map so you know where you are in relation to the map. All we need now is for a radar to be set up on the coast between Perth (Serpentine) and Albany.
  • Is this app stealing from the clipboard?

Since installing iOS 14, I’ve noticed when launching this app that it is retrieving the contents of my clipboard because iOS 14 now notifies you when an app accesses the contents of your clipboard. I can’t see any reason for this app to be doing this and I assume it’s always done it so I’m going to avoid using this app until I have a better understanding about what’s going on.

  • Not bad.

It is nearly what I want, but re-installing a new iPhone, my favourite weather radar app “Rain?”
Is no longer available. To make this app just as useful, you need to be able to drag the radar map not just left or right, but in any direction. Also a button or option to see the whole of Australia with all the radar details showing, like on the BOM site. I would even pay if these features were added.

  • Very easy to use!

This is a great Radar viewer.
Extremely easy to use, gives plenty of user options and most of the available BOM Radar data (doesn’t have accumulated rainfall images, no real loss though).
One major thing missing is Weipa Radar. The URL was changed when a new Radar was installed some time ago. If you could sort that I’ll rate 5 stars.

Thanks for the feedback. Rainfall since 9am observations can be turned on under the settings. Weipa should now be available again, thanks for letting me know it was broken. If you have any further issues use the support email in the app. Still waiting for the five stars................ ;-)
  • Excellent app

Probably one of the best rain radars I’ve tried and I’ve tried many apps. Basic but its biggest advantage is its accuracy of current location, something I’ve had trouble finding. I also prefer the graphics. Ads aren’t intrusive.
  • Sydney Terry Hills - No Image fault

Love this app. Have been using the free version but I have no image come up for Sydney Terry Hills. I’m happy to purchase the full version but don’t want to spend the money if it won’t work there either. Any suggestions??
  • Perfect Rain Radar App

Simple to use and does EVERYTHING a Rain Radar should, and more. Worth the small amount it costs. Love the way a pin drops to your exact location so you can accurately assess how long before rain/storm hits! Thanks!
  • Clear and simple

The radar images are clearer than on other weather apps and allow you to zoom in for a more localised view, as well as zoom out for a broader perspective.
I’ve been using this app for years. It’s my go-to to know what weather is coming my way. Many a load of washing has been saved from a drenching. I also like to know what’s happening in other parts of the state where relatives live or to keep an eye on impending cyclones up north.

  • Rain Radar changes

I used to love this app, but now the screen is too busy with all the arrows everywhere. They make it hard to view. Please stop playing around with it the original version was still the best. Also hate the ads.

    Developer Response

The little arrows (observations of wind direction, wind speed, and rainfall totals) can be turned off under More-Settings-Observations. Hate is a strong word! The ads can be removed by making an in-app purchase for about the cost of half a cup of coffee.
