Great radar, not so great temperature forecast.
I’ve been using RainViewer for a few weeks. I find the radar excellent, more accurate than other apps. But the temperature forecast leaves a lot to be desired. The temperature forecast high for my location today is 95. It’s been in the low 70’s all day. I would hope the developers could correct this with more accurate predictions.Show lessDeveloper Response

The type and frequency of ads in this app make it unusable. You can’t even get a feel for what the paid version might be like because of the how invasive the ads are. The cost of the premium subscription is on the high end of what’s standard for the leading weather apps, but not unreasonable if the quality is on par or better. It does look like an app that has the potential to challenge market leaders… unfortunate that intrusive ads prevent users from being able to compare the app’s UX and functionality to other weather apps.
Given the app’s low placement in the Weather category rankings nearly a decade after launch, it stands to reason that the product/UX is poor or the company’s marketing/revenue strategy is lacking… or perhaps the marketing/revenue strategy creates a poor UX. The app description is intriguing enough for me to check back later. Hopefully the company can figure out tame ads and increase profitability and marketshare.
Companies like Tubi have managed to become highly profitable and draw substantive marketshare by providing free service with minimally invasive ads in an environment of ever increasing aversion to subscriptions. Competition is good for everyone, and I think many would like to see a company give weather app market leaders a run for their money.Show lessDeveloper Response
Hello. Sorry for any inconvenience caused by the third-party ads in the free app version. We check the ads algorithms regularly, trying to make them not that annoying for our clients but yet useful and profitable for us. Please kindly note that our subscription provides totally ad-free experience. Hopefully, you'll find the app to be useful no matter which app version you choose to use. Respectfully
