Needs better controls

Controlling this is tedious at best, endlessly trying to wake the pup and it's just an endless mess of distractions. Good try, but it makes me wish I could get some sort of refund now.

Hi, sorry you didn’t enjoy the game. We have made the scratch way easier to do on the latest version. We added the sleep to give you a chance to take a look around, without having to worry about the time. It was not our aim to add lots of distractions, we just wanted to make something beautiful and challenging. I’m sure you can still request a refund - Shawn & Chris

Avoid till updated

Crashed on loading, reloaded. Crashed on Menu screen, reloaded. Crashed on first interaction (scratching dog), reloaded. Scratched dog as instructed for 5 mins, nothing happened. Bored.
Overheats phone (an X!)
Could be good, looks like a lot of thought went in and some good gfx, but unplayable as is.

Hello, Sorry you've had an issue. We developed on iPhoneX/iPhoneXR and have not experienced this issue. Can you share your crash dumps via Settings->Privacy->ShareWithAppDevlopers so we can take a look for you? To wake Rusty, you need to slide your finger backward and forwards in a rapid short motion over Rusty, He will wiggle and spark. You'll also hear a scratching sound. Should take about 1-2 seconds to wake him up. Hope that helps for the future. Update: We have changed the scratch for the latest version. It should make a huge difference. Hope you can revisit the review once you get to try. We'll get straight on it once we can get some more information - Shawn & Chris

Don’t waste your money

Rubbish game that don’t even work you will give up after trying to scratch the dog to wake it up. Clearly not touch screen game but maybe good if there’s a pc version

I stopped playing video games few years ago (around 10?) and now after downloading this game I can say I am back. The level of detail in every single aspect is amazing, and can’t stop listening to the creepy narrator (well done C.)Thank you so much for it Gory Detail, and hope to see more games like this one in the future!

Bought this on the strength of the graphical style! A visual masterpiece , a treat for the eyes! Very detailed. It’s very odd and cool! Enjoying it. It was too odd looking not to buy!👍

Stunning

Bought this on the back of the developer’s past work. And am not disappointed! This is one of the oddest, hardest games-but so rewarding. The graphical style is astonishing. And the game-think of Hollow Knight crossed with Dark Souls crossed with.....
Dunno! Just play it!

Rusty Pup - the most beautiful game on iOS

This game is visually stunning. I can't believe it runs on a phone! The audio is atmospheric and creepy. It's a Dark Souls level of platformer, with mechanics that are easy to pick up, but difficult to master. Some levels are fiendish, but boy does it feel good when you figure it out. Challenge yourself with this gem of a game. That ending though...!
