Does not work with newer iPhone

Worked with iPhone 7 after I bought lightning connector. Finally got a chance to use it again and showed connected but occasionally said it was not connected to iPhone 13. Seeing other reviews this has been an issue that devs refuse to fix. Had to use one shot at a time and record results. Basically a chunk of plastic without all the data perks now.

Does not work!!!!

The physical chronograph itself works well, but the app doesn’t work at all even with the appropriate permissions allowed. I can open the app and it acknowledges that a chronograph is connected, but the app won’t recognize or register a single shot despite the chronograph showing a speed reading. Don’t waste your time!

Does not work on iPhone 12

Tried everything and although says connected it doesn’t record strings or anything! Doing some research it seems most folk with updated iPhones/ lightning connectors can’t get it to work! Any chance of bug fix ??

Not working

So far this has not worked I do have a brand new iPhone 15, and a brand new iPad. It’s not working on either one some of them. Other reviews seem like it may work on older phones and iPads. I hope Caldwell will get this issue fixed to where it will work on all devices. I think it would be very nice to be able to use the app to record averages and the shot groups. Come on Caldwell get your act together.

App doesn’t support newer iPhone OS

Advertised the app all over the box. But it doesn’t work. UPDATE THE APP OR DON’T CLAM IT WORKS WITH IT !!!! Finally working without app. Found it is sensitive to amount of light coming in. So if there’s not enough light or too much ERROR or nothing shows up. By the time you finally get it to show a reading ur done shooting all ur ammo. Really disappointed with this “chronograph “ for as long as it’s been available one would think some of bugs would be worked out.

It works…sort of

I was excited to use this app with my new chronograph and according to Caldwell’s website and the chronograph manual all items should’ve worked with my iPhone 12 Pro Max. Of course I had to use an adapter in order to connect to the chronograph. And after a lot of troubleshooting nothing worked. Even though the indicator on the app was green showing it was connected, it still didn’t work.

So I tried it with my old iPad. It worked great! I do wonder what happens when I upgrade to a new iPad. Will it not work then.

Not sure what part is the problem: the phone, the chronograph or the adapter in order the connect the cable to the phone.

Works but screen layout poor and a bit buggy

Compared to say the FX Radar app ( which was terrible to start with ) the screens are poorly laid out and not that intuitive.
Would help if the FPS screen was larger in use.

Strange bugs ( unless I’m doing it wrong ), I shoot air rifles mainly in .177 but when you go to add new ammunition data it rounds .177 to .18 !

Fix This App!!!

Doesn’t work anymore. Since the newest iOS it wont connect via cable to the chronograph. I didn’t pay $100+ for the hardware for you to just not update the software. There’s people still buying this and it just doesn’t work. Fix this! Unacceptable

Will not work on IPhone 14

I have been frustrated with this app when it would not link to my iPhone, nor would it work on the cable. Tried deleting and reloading app, that didn’t work. It does however work on my very old IPad. Does this app need to be updated for newer phones?

It’s Ok, but has issues

Bottom line, app mostly works.

Good news is that when you update the app, all the data is saved.

Good news is that it’s a great concept.

Now for the bad news.

GPS doesn’t pull in data correctly. Does not pull in barometric pressure or temperatures. And yes, I have the privacy permissions where configured where it should pull in the requested day.

Editing strings is dicey, as it works sometimes and doesn’t others. Ultimately the UI locks up from time to time.

I noticed when I manually input the elevation, that the velocities were substantially astronomically different, to the Tune of 250 FPS in an elevation difference of 700 feet ASL/AGL. The calculated difference should have only been 20-30 FPS.

I would give this 3 stars but the over UI is wonky and isn’t reliable.
