Needs instructions
I telephoned tech support for a new purchase of the Scosche Rhythm+ heart rate monitor and they advised me to download this app. The app is NOT intuitive and although I'm fairly tech savvy I can not figure out how to use this app.
There are some instructions in the App Store under descriptions which I followed but they do not get you to the point of utilization. Don't download as you can't use the app.

Updated my Rhythm+ firmware
I downloaded this utility for updating my heart rate monitor's firmware. It worked perfectly. I find it also very useful to experiment different positions and tightness on my arm.
But it's just that the name of this is misleading...

Not very pretty but has great functions
You can use this app to check and upgrade firmware, set parametrics, check battery level etc. Quite useful.
Device Utilty App
This app is not a health and fitness app. This app is a utility used to test your Scosche HR device and update firmware via Bluetooth.
It is unfortunate so many negative reviews have been posted by uninformed people. This is a fine app and Scosche has great customer service.

Connected with my Rhythm+ but the app doesn't show any information.
Useless for Tracking - Only for Tech Control
Useless for tracking. No instructions. Once you guess how to set it up, it will connect to your Scosche Rhythm+ heart monitor. Maybe it stores the data to upload, maybe not. The UI is a technician’s dream-child but a normal user’s puzzle. Apparently use this only to change settings on the Scosche (if you understand what you are doing). Go elsewhere to get software to monitor and track the device.

This app is definitely not user friendly. No instructions no guidance whatsoever for setting up. Just doesn't seem to work
