Such a great App!!
I can't recommend this app more highly. It's been a fantastic tool for us both before and during our family trip to Sardinia. Its extremely clear and very easy to navigate your way around. It's excellent at providing knowledge and help for all those menu-dilemma moments! Something to 'pack' before leaving to go on any Italian break!

Mangia!
This is a great app for aspirant foodies and those who live in Italy, and just downright interesting or the rest of us. I'd like to see something similar for many other countries e.g. France, Greece, Japan etc...
I notice that most comments seem to come from people in Italy, who are presumably already familiar with Italian food, and will certainly contribute to more detailed and accurate details. But I wonder if something for the less sophisticated might be useful e.g. why menus are separated into primi and secundi piatti - maybe they no longer are, but if so some overview of Italian eating style would be useful e.g. traditionally huge steaks served without any potatoes or other veg because it's assumed you'll have had pasta as a first course.
The navigation is easy, though I'm confused by 'distance' - why do I want to search by that? I also took a minute or two to get used to the 'name' search to find key items, such as 'cheese words' - useful high level detail, I thought, but what about the names of cheeses? But then I found the 'category' search, and there they all are. Of course the initial 'cheese words' search does give you a clue ('reading the labels') but it made far more sense after I found the category search. Like all apps, you need to play around a bit to figure it out.
Altogether a super useful app, which I wish I'd had last year in Laos for Laotian food!
