  • Sweet but short

What a great little strategy game this turned out to be. I really enjoyed all aspects of it; the clean austere but superbly functional graphics, the careful balancing that must have gone into the game, sound design etc, it is all very polished.

There is however one criticism I would like to put forward, and that is that after you've finished the three challenges, there is very little replay value. However, the 3 to 4 hours I've put into the game so far have been well worth it. I would recommend this game to anyone who likes base building and resource management in RTS's and would like to see how you can combine that with Tetris in an ingenious way.

  • Incredible but shallow

This game is excellent. Great concept, gorgeous visuals, and fun to play. I died pretty quickly the first two times I played, then got the hang of it. Now I've completed the three challenges and I don't necessarily see myself picking it up again. A bit disappointed to see one of the more expensive apps be featured when it's only got a couple of hours worth of gameplay.
I know it's weird to complain about a couple of bucks, but at $1.99, this would be my all-time favourite iPhone game and I'd be recommending it to everyone. As it stands, it's a great experience I'll just have to keep to myself.

  • It has potential

This game is fun until you realize that there is nothing to do except survive, there is nothing to unlock if you reach certain levels, there are no different modes and you can't buy anything to improve your base overall and you can't play multiplayer. If there were different modes it would improve the game:

    Apocalypse- never ending waves
0 income- you start with lots of resources but can't get any more
Multiplayer- you can take over another players building and steal resources etc.

There is also room for a campaign of sorts. And finally if there was a way to earn money so that you could upgrade your minions or buildings somehow. Like I said this game has potential but it's not worth paying $5 unless its improved ;)

  • I expected more for the price

Came to this game after seeing good external reviews - should have read the App Store reviews first. I paid over $5 (NZ) for this game so was very disappointed to discover that once I'd completed one level and three accomplishments that was the end. Either needs new levels or a serious price reduction, half a day gameplay isn't good enough for what is otherwise a great game.

  • Not much content

As everyone else is saying you don't get much game for your money, only three objectives and I got two of them in the first play through. Add some new and varied objectives and it would be worth the money.
  • Lots of Potential

The graphics and originality of this game are very good but it is far too short to be worth the £2.49 I spent on it. There is one level and three missions which are very easy to complete and so the game gets boring before long. Adding more missions, levels, and rooms to build as well as a 'hard' difficulty setting would be a significant improvement and would definitely earn five stars. I'm hopeful for future updates! Also, improvement of minion AI allowing them to co-ordinate and work more efficiently would help a great deal too.

  • Ok.... But..... Where's the rest?

Like other reviewer I read articles that over hyped this. It is pretty good idea and nice little challenge but run out of things to do within a few hours. For the price that is not worth compared to others out there. ( look up star command , its similar and lasts a lot longer).
  • Not worth $5 for 3 hours

Style is cool but there's minimal game here for the money. 3 plays in 3 hours and nothing left to see or do.
  • Good but needs some work.

I think this game is pretty good, but a lot more could be added to it. I often find myself twiddling my thumbs because I've got all the buildings I need for the moment, so I just need to wait for the existing ones to be built, I think there should be some more in depth systems, like maybe your workers need food to go on, or the enemy's can create hull breaches that need to be fixed with workers armed with magnetic boots. A lot more things like this could be added, making you more aware that you are indeed running a space station. Also, there definitely needs to be a speed up button, some of the buildings are slow to build. Something that annoys me greatly is the AI. when say my source of whatever the hell that pink stuff is depleted, and I need to build a new extractor with what I have remaining, my workers use my supplies to build other things that I have set out, so then I can't build the extractor, no more advancement, game over. Alternatively you could implement a manual priority system. I know this is a lengthy review but just one last thing. I completely get that your going for a simplistic look, but it's too simplistic, the rooms are just solid colour, it just feels cheap, at least add a little texture or something to differentiate the rooms other than colour. I hope the dev reads this and considers my ideas.

  • Slightly Overrated

Before purchasing I read a number of reviews in the gaming press which all seemed to praise the game. It is well made and polished for what it is, but although minimalist lacks depth and the potential for the amount of multiple replays I expect for the price this app is sold for. After 3 games to get the accomplishments and about 2 hours i feel like i have exhausted the gameplay. I can't see myself opening the app again unless there is some new content released.
