  • More comprehensive than PCP

Neither PCP nor this app are enough to actually determine clinical depression in any individual especially a shooter that wants to stay hidden. AND THAT, is our country’s biggest problem! Depression is hidden by the ones that should want it recognized.
Where is an app that a depressed individual will game on that will secretly reveal the need for help?

  • Tracking My Mental Health

This app is great for tracking your mental health. You can see your test results from every time you have taken the test, which is great. This also helps as a diary and has a lot of ways to help you calm yourself down.
  • Using it as a journal

I have to no one to talk to and I over share things that end up making me feel embarrassed and exposed so having an app where I can vent and hopefully no one sees makes me feel kinda better🙂
  • Good idea but there are glitches

I love would to use the app more but there glitches such as when I’m writing it would be slow, not save writing if tab moved, you can’t use the mic on keyboard it would move the writing and mess up the whole thing or and delete some of my writing. It can get annoying when trying to write/vent in the journal it would move without notice and it would just get more stressful if you were already stress but I still like the app for the test it helps see my progress on how far I’ve come or fallen in the state

  • I've used this to track my mental wellbeing for five years

DTest is a simple, easy-to-use app. It uses the standard 9-question test that you would get at a doctor's office. There is a history chart, where you can scroll back and see your answers from past tests, and the ability for notes to be written - though I don't usually use this feature much.

It's not a needy app - it simply keeps track of your mental health, and provides resources if you wish to seek help (though I don't recommend using BetterHelp, for the various controversies with it). You can also set it up to send reminders, if you wish to have a routine with it - but it's not necessary.

The developers are also responsive, and receptive to suggestions. I've never had the app itself break. There is no paid version, or free trial, or any prompt at all to give money for your mental health - to the point where honestly, I've used this for so long, I wouldn't *mind* a tip jar option. Maybe you could do something cosmetic as a perk, like change the app's colors, or the icon itself?

In a world where every app seems to want to do everything for you, to the point where it becomes overwhelming, DTest is a refreshingly simple and clean app. I've used it for five years to track my mental health through highs and lows, and as long as it plans to remain an awesome, easy-to-use app, I can easily picture myself using it for another five.

  • Content good - User Interface a bit clugy

I like the content which guides me through CBT. The app is hard to navigate.
  • Nice app

I’m 12, I have struggled with problems that if I say might upset people. I might tell one of my teachers but I’m still debating it. Anyways this app is nice I scored 22 and with everything I’ve noticed I need to tell an adult. It’s hard though.
  • Better

It helped me feel much better
  • Annoying test & deleted data

I would give it 4 or 5 stars, but it has a really annoying beginning to the test: it says “don’t worry, be happy” — which is an incredibly counterproductive thing to say to a depressed person — like it is a choice.

The app also updated a couple of years ago and deleted all my data, so I don’t trust long term data storage, and if I was really interested in that, I would have to export the data regularly.

  • App is helpful but

This app is helpful and like doing my own self check up with a bit of test. Writing stuff down helps a lot. Only issue is if I go away from the page when I’m typing for a second it erases my work. I want to be able to tab out for a second and come back to writing. I don’t wanna rewrite everything again. Also editing function is weird. I wanna add a part or take away and it doesn’t seem to always work. I appreciate this app for what it is but the journal section needs some work.
