  • So far so great

    I've struggled with time tracking apps / methods over the years, but this seems different... and in a great way. My only tiny issue at this point is that the iOS App doesn't pull through all "Activities"... only the Recent ones... which is mildly frustrating...

  • odd, but if it suits you it's a great little app

    i struggled with time trackers before i discovered Daily. the manual trackers required too much data maintenance to be efficient and the "we spy on you for your own good" approach of the automatic trackers was a non-starter for me. Daily does it differently, it simply asks you what you're doing. if you can live with those minor interruptions then Daily could be the one for you too. simple, well designed, does the job. two thumbs up!

  • The app worked for a while but then failed to work

    After using the app for two months, it started to fail to regularly prompt me for my status. I have the setting at every 15 min. It prompts me way less frequently than that.

  • Excellent!

    This is a fantastic app! I went though a few different time tracking apps before I found Daily. Some of them had excellent automated data capture, but I found myself needing to go through that data in order to understand what the timing was, and that was not ideal. Niels' app is sweet and to the point. Does the job without extra fluff. If you're generally using dark mode, I recommend setting Daily to light (there's an app called Gray which is great for doing that), so that the contrast is clear enough to see it when it pops up.

  • Brilliant! effortless time tracking

    I love this app. I've gone through a lot of time tracking apps in the past, all those start stop timers, fancy UIs for entering tasks and times, etc. This app is brilliant, I would say it's passive time tracking - it periodically prompts you, you select or write in a brief description of what you're up to. Done. Export or use the data as you need.

  • Invaluable

    Really helps me keep track of time spent. I need to complete a timesheet at the end of the week. I often need to switch from one task to another so often forget what I've done. This is brilliant for tracking/reminding what I'd done even weeks/months later!

  • Just right

    I'm terrible at tracking my own time. My brain just doesn't notice when I context switch, so this is a really nice nudge now and then to keep on top of things for work without having to account for every browser tab and minute of activity.

    When I was looking around everything seemed to be a case of "hey come store all your data on our servers" so having something local was a must.

  • Only time tracker that has worked for me

    I've tried a lot of time trackers, but have stayed with this one. The ability to easily correct previous entries is absolutely key for me. My only suggestion, for those of us with several monitors, is to have an option to move the "What are you doing now" window to a corner of one monitor and stick it there, so I have the option of not responding to it immediately. Other than that, it is a lovely tool for my workflow.
    UPDATE: 6 months in, and I'm still using Daily on a -- well, daily basis. A very important part of my workflow.
