  • An Upgrade With Problems........

There was a time when "FTP On The Go - Pro" was arguably the best FTP App around.

Sadly this has changed. This version has bugs and is near impossible to use. Fortunately, there's a good selection of free alternatives out there.

After weeks of my iPad Air hanging up followed by a crash of the App and then its total failure to save edited files back to the server, I've decided "no more".

The first "freebie" I found is just as functional - as are a couple of others I tested.

So.... It was good while it lasted but the product has had its day.

  • Does what it says on the tin

Great programme for uploading images to websites, the resize option means I can define the image size to download without having to use other programmes. It's simply brilliant
  • Does its job well and quickly!

I'm not a heavy FTP user but when I need to this app does it well enough for me. Never had an issue except for user error ^_^
  • Tech

To me this is good enough.
  • How many time to be charged??

I have already paid for upgrade.
Now, i have to pay $7 to activate the app?!?! Why?!
  • Bad company, rip off

The price is already too high then they ask for pro version now they want more money for an upgrade and then they want more money for activation. There are free apps that work better - these guy will be reported for their tactics
  • Keep paying

I had the original version, then I paid to upgrade to "Pro", now I have to pay again to activate features????
Aceplayer works better and it's free
  • Won’t FTP

I really want to like this app, because it does exactly what I need to do - that is, modify dropbox files and then FTP them to my server. I’ve used older versions of this app with no problems. But this version simply doesn’t work - it won’t FTP my files. Seems like a basic function, given the app’s name. However, all I get are timeout errors when I try to FTP files to my server, no matter what the app's settings are. Any other FTP app has no problem. I don’t recommend this version, especially since you won’t find this out until after your spend your cash on the upgrade, and then you’re out of luck.

  • Great App!

Love this app. Stuck with it for the upgrade. Considered another app but they wanted 1.99 for each new server connection and their service started locking up/freezing on me. FTP on the go pro is a bargain deal with stable and good service that works.

NOTE AND RECOMMENDATION WHEN UPGRADING: I recommend starting fresh with creating new bookmarks in the upgrade version.

THIS MAY BE A BUG THAT CAN BE FIXED:
Importing my old bookmarks file to this upgraded version didn't work for me. Tried several times and re filling in the data for each imported bookmark several times and they would not connect. So I deleted them all. I had to start fresh and re enter each FTP connection like new to get it to connect to the servers. Connects and works fine now.

  • Loss of function with update!

For quite some time this has been my ftp app of choice. Since the latest update I no longer have access to the file management function on my iPad therefore I can't t rename, move, copy or delete a file. This has rendered the app useless for my requirements . The update on iPhone 5 still works fine but as I use the iPad most of the time this is very annoying.
Contacted the developer but they are yet to respond.
Now looking for an alternative ftp app. Very disappointed especially as this isn't a cheap app.
