Thanks for giving the accurate information. Myself and my family are really happy and avoid struggling the consequences.
  • Daily Pollen Count

Have you ever considered why some people, like me, desperately need to know the pollen count at least a couple of days ahead?
Some people suffer a lot during the hay fever season, and knowing the pollen count in advance simply helps them prepare better.
Have you ever considered why some people even though they depend a lot on your pollen count do not support you financially?
Perhaps like me, a 72 yo aged pensioner, they could be in similar situation, or they could be unemployed, disabled, or the disadvantaged.
Also, not to mention that hay fever medications are expensive.
So I feel it’s unfair that only supporters, ie those who are able to pay, are able to have the advantage of knowing the pollen count in advance.
    Thank you for your attention.
    Best regards,

    Developer Response

Hi Eric, All users get access to the grass pollen forecast 3 days in advance. As you say this information is important and we feel strongly that everyone should have access to it. MP
  • Thank Melbourne Uni

I’ve suffered from allergies for years . I’m allergic to Cypress and grasses . I feel worse in Melbourne than anywhere else . This app is helps me to remember when to take antihistamines and to track the plants that trigger my symptoms. I’d suggest for the survey to allow users to enter symptoms data for the previous day also as I don’t always remember to open the app. Thanks for this fantastic tool.

  • Useful app, I'm using from last 3 years

I have a hay fever issue and always check this app before go out in the summer. Excellent work done by the app team, and thank you, Melbourne University. You guys are awesome
  • Brilliant App

Melbourne University have put a lot of work into this app. It was free but I’m happy to buy to donate to their constant research work. I’d like to see notifications move beyond the current season. Their notifications are so very helpful.
  • My go to app on understanding hayfever in Melbourne

I have automatic notifications on this so that I know what kind of day to expect and how to manage it. The paid version has lots more info on other allergens like mould spores and tree pollen. It’s definitely worth the upgrade.
  • Thunderstorms warnings

Thank you for your advice. My husband and myself read the updates every day as soon as they arrive. We plan our activities to keep safe We both have asthma.
  • Sadly, inconsistent!

I would love to love this app. Sadly, often the warnings do not match VIC Emergency app info - dangerous! Today I was sent warning notification for moderate thunderstorm asthma - yet it’s green and low all over the state in the risk map even an hour after warning notification from his very same app. Not the first time inconsistencies like this have happened. For people who’s lives depend on this kind of data I’d suggest finding a back up source.

  • Such a great find

I found this app after a good search online.
My Asthma has been terrible but as I love to garden and get out I braved the elements..
But now with this app I can check pollen and grass levels.. and thunderstorm predictions.
I highly recommend it. I pay the small contribution so the Melbourne Uni team can keep up the great work they perform thank you.

  • Melbourne Uni … the best

Thank you Melbourne Uni. I jumped at the chance to contribute towards your costs and believe in you as a team to come up with some amazing outcomes. We like the new app. It is simple to digest, great that you are researching, and also educating us along the journey. I look forward to watching your journey. Please so keep costs down if possible as times are a little tough in the pocket these days. Perhaps a 2 tier offer …. Standard and donors. To a better future for all sufferers of hey fever every where.

Still loving it …. Victoria’s single source of the truth.
