The Chicago Marathon needs to get rid of this app!
The app is poorly designed and not very friendly. Most importantly it did not provide real time updates and alerts on runners. Chicago needs to use the same apps as other Marathons (like Marine Corps). I realize TCS is a sponsor, but this is a prime example of the poor quality you get from them.Worthless app
Worst app I’ve ever downloaded. Not a single button on the entire app did anything. I got over 20 attempts with the same result: “cannot connect to server. Try again later. “
No tracking, no nothing. Couldn’t enter a bib number. I should’ve expected nothing less from anything associated with Chicago, the rectum of central USA.Show lessBarely functional enough to avoid 1 star
No way for runners to truly claim a profile, defaults to kilometers with no way to convert to miles, live tracking not very functional, no way for trackers to share real-time messages with runners, and no (easy) way for runners to access messages sent. And it wasn't even released until 3 days before the race. Expected much more from the official app for a world majorShow lessBut I have a
Be safe and let me knowCheer cards?
People spent time to make cheer cards that they thought I’d see at the finish but I can’t find them anywhere? No customer support to help figure this out or resolve any issues. It’s Ok
Compared to Boston’s app, why doesn’t this app have the exact mile the runner is at? And you don’t have to keep refreshing it—Boston’s marathon app is an automatic update.Picture
It was a very useful app for watching my friend run the race. I would have liked a end of the race picture at the finish line. A picture of him crossing the finish line. That would have made the experience complete.Great for Race Day
Great for tracking friends and getting your own splits. My friends were able to track me in real-time, which was super cool. Nice to be able to add people that I met to the tracker.Kilometers only?
You know Americans don’t know how to convert kilometers to miles in their head. Can you add a toggle or default it to miles? So many cool features
Loved being able to watch top American leader boards, track my favorite runners, AND actually see them moving in the map! I could actually send a personalized cheer card to my favorites.
Best Marathon app I’ve used.
