  • Helps me manage my ADHD!

If you read cal Newport’s deep work, you’ll understand the importance of lead and lag measures. Flat tomato is a key tool for the lead measure. As a medical student who struggles with ADHD, I find this app crucial to improving the quality of my work by enhancing my attention levels, setting clear breaks, and challenging myself to reach appropriate level of intensity as a habitual mode of being.

  • Not clear how to shut this off

I like the design and functionality- when I am measuring my productivity.

The problem is that I found it difficult to turn this off. There’s no clear place to just say that you’re done. Even when I quit the app, I continued to get notifications every few minutes letting me know that my break was up, that in 4 minutes something ... blah blah blah. There needs to be a clear way to exit. For me, the only clear way was to delete the app so I did.

  • Front page app

Useful app, not intrusive, and adds a useful gamification to your productivity.
  • Wow, so easy to use!

I've used this app for a long time just for a basic tomato timer. But it does so much more! The todoist and calendar integration is especially good. I also like how nice the timer looks when I have my phone docked on my desk.
  • Simple, beautiful, improving

I’ve enjoyed using this app and have been using it daily for a few weeks since I installed it.

I reached out to the developer with feedback and feature requests and received a positive reply.
  • Best one out of 15 others!

Every since I know tomato technic, I have tried all kind of app, approximately 15 other apps. This is the one I found the best function, best feature and best design!

Yeah! And it is free! Way better than most paid!
  • Best Pomodoro app I’ve tried!

Everything is so convenient! Make sure to remember to swipe up down left right for all functions
  • Overall a great app, still room for improvement

So this app has helped me track my progress, boost my efficiency. However, I do hope there is, say, a lock-screen function that allows no distraction to other cell phone app. That would be great. Guess what I am trying to say is that I hope this app could incorporate the function of Forest, another my favorite app.

  • Good app, will be great after some tweaks

Love this app for the iPhone. I like that it allows for me to see my progress through the day and that it tracks it over a longer period of time. The only thing is that I want to have the ability to have this app linked/synced to my Mac and they do have a Mac app but compared to this app it’s really not even the same and there really isn’t a way to sync your progress between the apps.

  • Interface isn’t discoverable

I love the concept of this app, but the interface is difficult to figure out. All of the menus are hidden beside swipes or unclear buttons.

The biggest annoyance is that the app sends an alert to my watch every minute, making it impossible to concentrate on my work. There may be a way to turn this off, but I can’t find it in the menus (or it’s not clearly labeled).
