  • AI broken

    Final score:
    Me. 72
    Cpu1 7
    Cpu2. 2

    No way of setting difficulty.
  • AI and matchmaking broken

One of the major selling points of board game ports on iOS is the opportunity for solo players to enjoy the game outside of their gaming group. Unfortunately in this case the AI is so dumb that it completely ruins the solo experience. There is absolutely no challenge to keep you engaged. As for online play, I tried several times but never got matched with any other player. It's a shame because the game offers really high production values and some interesting mechanics. At the moment though, and until the AI and matchmaking are fixed, the game is a waste of time.

  • Yes!!!!

    Well done!!! Love it
  • Fantastic board game

Wanted to support a team who has a philosophy of putting players before profits. This game's production values are insane, and cdprojekt's philosophy makes them trust gamers with no DRM and free DLCs.

No, not a shill or paid review, just an incredibly grateful older gamer who remembers the good old days.

  • MUCH better!

Thanks to the update that auto saves this game is actually playable now! It would be nice if it saves the moment you exit instead of just the beginning of the turn, but way better then it was before. Great game, although it would be nice to speed up the AI turns.
  • New version has auto save

The board game is great and this is a faithful reproduction. There is a lot more strategy to this than first appears but bad luck can ruin your day. Try to mitigate against it by developing your character.
  • Unbalanced game play.

While the game mechanics are good and the game itself looks great, Geralt is incredibly overpowered with extra hero dice (while all other characters have 1). He's a hard act to follow with what you're given to work with. Personally, I liked the sorceress and her card sets but she can't hold a candle to Geralt (or to the dwarf, the second strongest character). This game needs rebalancing and until I hear some changes have taken place, it will remain deleted from my ipad.

  • Really needs asnychronous multiplayer

I really want to give this 5 as I love the physical board game and the setting as a whole, but until this game has a decent multiplayer system it is lucky to get 3.

When your game causes a player to quit by minimising it that is a problem. Really needs asynchronous multiplayer implemented a la Playdek games (Waterdeep etc.), until that happens I can't recommend this and that is a real shame. I know the Game Center multiplayer API can do it.

  • So much potential ends up horribly confusing

Look I'm not stupid. I figured out how to play elder signs and some other semi complicated games . I tried playing this game but it's so complicated snd the tutorial stinks . I still don't know how to play . Until they fix this do not buy.
  • Great implementation but buggy

Great implementation of the board game but is riddled with bugs and slightly different rules to the board game version.

Unfortunately Two game breaking bugs were the stalled action selection where nothing appears after selecting the action and needs a restart. Also, every game I have been playing crashes to the desktop after about 30mins of play. There's no save states of any kind so it means a restart. Frustrating. I love the game but needs to be fixed with a patch.
